Log fires, oak panelling and adventure playground - all make this 17th century manor house perfect for weekend breaks in Derbyshire. Did you know that Bonnie Prince Charlie even slept here? The hostel is in a lovely, unspoilt area - great for activity breaks, walking holidays and cycling holidays. Use this great accommodation as a base to explore Alton Towers and Chatsworth House nearby. If you're looking at wedding venues in Derbyshire, you can get married at YHA Hartington Hall, have the hall as a magnificent backdrop to your photos, and then stay in our self-contained suite 'The Roost'. Don't miss the pets area and games room - great for family fun. Good home-cooked meals are available in our restaurant.

Hartington Hall is a magnificent mansion set in a beautiful village and surrounded by spectacular scenery. We were amazed to be shown to an oak panelled bedroom reputedly slept in by Bonnie Prince Charlie! The staff were so kind and welcoming and did their utmost to accommodate us in spite of the restrictions imposed by Covid 19

Thanks so much for your lovely review. We are so lucky with our beautiful old building, the grounds and the location within the village too. I will pass on to the team the kind words, it means a lot to them especially during this time as they have been working so hard to be Covid secure for all our guests.

Enjoyable stay. Kitchens were shut due to Covid which was a shame but the food on offer was just what we wanted. Weather could have been better but no complaints otherwise. Staff very helpful and room clean with shower and sink. Two pubs and cafe nearby.

Hostel is surrounded by beautiful houses and the over place is quite and calm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I stayed on second floor the room was very cozy and warm. We had a good time in the hostel. I would recommend anyone who really wants to ease his tension to stay in here as there is no mobile network

WE were luck enough toenjoy a 2 x night break at the YHA, Hartington. Staff were professional and friendly. Felt Covid safe. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Excellent location with great countryside for walking/cycling straight from the door. The village has pubs and cafes, so lots of eating and drinking options.
