As a group of walking friends we have stayed here for 3 or 4 nights at a time every year for the last 10 years. Earlier reviews say it all. Helen and Steve are great genuine hosts in their excellent traditional B&B in the heart of Hartington. With 2 dining pubs within a minute or two of Bank House it is a great base for exploring the surrounding area and enjoying the peace of the village. The 2 village provisions shops do excellent fresh take -away sandwiches, cakes and pies for your excursions.

I can't say enough about our visit to Sneem, Ireland and Margaret and Nole at the Bank house. Wonderful, warm, genuine people that treat you like family. Small rooms, but clean and comfortable beds. Private baths. Extremely comfortable. Food was out of this world. The Harringtons deffinately go above and beyond!

As a regular user of anonymous hotels across Europe, I really enjoyed my stay at Bank House - it can be summed up in three words; relaxed, friendly and helpful, one could add value for money as well. Recomended.

As a small group of friends we have returned here year after year, sometimes a few times a year, to go walking in the area. Always feel very welcome and always enjoy breakfast. The bed are comfy the place really clean and the atmosphere welcoming. My title says it all really, here's to the next 15 years.

We stayed in a lovely big family room with en suite facilities. Great breakfast - cereals, fruit juice, full cooked breakfast, fruit, toast. Nice location in the heart of Hartington - a lovely village to stay with access to some very nice walks. Genuinely lovely hosts made us feel so welcome. Thank you so much for such a pleasant stay
