We spent 3 nights in this hotel and come back with surprisingly great experience thanks to the food both a’la carte and buffet. This is a 4-star hotel, but the menu would beat 5-star hotels or fine dining restaurants. Costs are reasonable, absolutely affordable.
Room was spacious with great view on the forest. Spa, sauna, mini gym is perfect in size, however the swimming pool could have been warmer with a few degrees.
Staff is friendly and pays attention to COVID safety instructions. The hotel is not too large, therefore not overcrowded. I’m very happy recommend the hotel and the village to anybody, who prefers great food, quiet places, hiking and outdoor trips to castle etc.

Wellness and restaurant are perfect, we were 100% satisfied with the service, the attitude of the staff, it’s 5 Star!
However we had 2 small annoying experiences with the Receptionists, which made our vacation a bit sad. Unfortunately, due to the malfunctioning of the safe, we did not have access neither to our cash nor to our notebook for 6 hours, which we should have used for work. We notified the Receptionist and the answer was that they would immediately speak to the mechanic, we just need to wait him in the room. After waiting for half an hour, went down to the front desk again, and asking about the status of the repairing. They were saying that unfortunately the mechanic couldn't come until afternoon due to some meeting. But if we hadn't asked, we wouldn't have been informed. It was terribly annoying 1) that I was not informed of the status of the problem being solved, what to expect 2) not being able to access and solve such a problem for 6 hours was unacceptable to me.
Another frustrating experience with receptionists and services: we asked if we could get an extra hairdryer because it was overheated and turned off after 1-2 minutes. To this request 1) we have not received any feedback 2) I had a feeling that I’m stupid that I dared to ask for an extra hairdryer. The question inside me was: what would they have done if the hairdryer in the room didn't work at all, what solution could they have offered?
Unfortunately, in both cases, I find it unacceptable that we did not receive any feedback on our problem unless we asked for it.

Sajnos en nem tudok ilyen jo reviewt hagyni. Egy ejszakat toltottunk a szallodaban amit ajandekkent adtam edesanyamnak. A szobaban nem volt melegviz, felajanlottuk, hogy jojjenek fel nezzek meg, amire az volt a valasz, hogy minthogy Tele a szalloda sajnos ez egy ismert hiba - elfogy a melegviz. 🤔 A recepciot felhivva azt mondta az uriember, hogy visszaszol a mint tud valamit tenni az ugy erdekeben. Sajnos 20 perc utan megint mi hivtuk, ez mar bo fel 9 korul lehetett mert o nem szolt vissza. Azt ugyan mondta, hogy at lehet menni masik szobaba, viszont ott Sem tudja garantalni, hogy lesz meleg viz. Reggel kijelentkezeskor azt a valaszt kaptuk, hogy ezert nem jar kompenzacio. Kertem a panaszkonyvet a recepcios uriembertol, nem kaptam meg, kihivta a manager urat. Kertem tole is a panaszkonyvet, masodszori keresre Sem kaptam meg. Ha az nem lett volna eleg bosszanto, hogy nem tudunk zuhanyozni, az mindenkepp az volt hogy teljesen semmibe vettek a panaszunkat. Az egyetlen pozitivum a sef ur kedvessege es a finom etelek voltak illetve az uzletvezeto kisasszony, akitol egyedulikent kaptuk bocsanat kerest. Sajnos en ezt a helyet nem tudom ajanlani senkinek tiszta szivvel. Borzaszto szajizzel tavoztunk.

We had a short and excellent stay, especially the restaurant (Mikszath) was great. Location, view, room is superb.
The area where they need to improve is to be less rigid in some things, I am writing it to help the management. We asked for a late checkin, but in order to do that we had to change room, because they told that someone is arriving to ours. When I reserved they said they cannot guarantee balcony. Ok. But than how come they could guarantee "my" room (with balcony) to someone else? (the manager gave some foggy explanation). We arrived earlier but we could not check in a minute earlier than 2 PM. While this "someone else" could check in next day at 1PM, I saw it personally. So there are special guests, more equal than others... It is a pitty that the could not serve/provide coffee before 7.30 or they did not have a Nescafe bag in the room (they had tea filters and boiler).
Very small details but all show that the management needs some improvement to be more flexible (kind?) and let the staff more freedom to satisfy the guests.

The food and the staff are perfect, very kind and polite always helpful, and the glutenfree foods are delicious and there is a wide variety of "normal" and glutenfree foods.
The room was clear and tidy and modern and the cleaning staff was polite.

We had a fantastic one night experience at Hollokó, nice hotel, amazing food, gorgious wellness area, polite staff. Next day after the check out we had a one day free use of wellness area use in our package so we planned that after the excursion we will return to the spa. But when we checked out the receptionist told us that we can use the wellness only till 2 pm. I was totally shocked and félt to be cheated as we were counted with this option, as it was included in our package, so it is a great dissappointment at the end. I am realky sorry, bur I think the information given should be in line with the realty. I exoected more from a 4 star hotel in this term.

Hotel in general is good. Good food adequate service etc but there is a serious conceptional error. There is a bowling alley in the basement. The noise goes right up into the room upsatairs (2nd floor) making it impossibe to have an afternoon nap or early sleep. Shame.

Close to nature, amazing view of the surrounding forests, really good friendly staff, superb gastronomic experience. If I had to highlight something it would be food made from the really high quality locally sourced ingredients. Just amazing.
