We had a nice stay at the best house guest house. The rooms are good with A/C but there is no noise insulation. The bathroom and room was always clean. There is free tea and coffee which is nice. The staff is nice, they speak a little bit of English but more than most people in Myanmar. The location of the guest house is good.

The young staff was very friendly from the beginning and have a map available showing you everything you need to know to enjoy Dawei (bike rental, eating places with delicious food, etc). There's a small "lounge area" including a balcony where you can sit and chat with other travellers. WiFi is surprisingly fast, and the guesthouse is in a (somewhat) side street, with no noise to be heard at night. Rooms are not big but have everything you need, including A/C. Beds were very comfortable; the amenity kit provided for private rooms was awesome for this kind of accommodation! Bathrooms are clean. FYI - a staff member will sleep on a fold-out bed in the reception area from late night, so best to go out or go to your room if you're a night owl. If we come to this nice city again, we'd totally stay here again!

Staff was very friendly and proactive about helping out. This guest house also provided the largest tube of toothpaste (almost like a full size) that I've ever received in an accommodation! They have a large map in the main area and a small map on key locations within the city (food, shopping, rentals, tour offices, etc.). Great suggestions on where to go. Free coffee and tea all day. The room was comfortable, with TV, fan/AC, towel, and a clothes hanging stand. Walls are thin. Would stay again, although I think for the price paid, there should be a free breakfast, even something simple.

I made a reservation on Agoda. They cancelled saying there was a problem. Then they raise the price of the room on Agoda and put the room available again, at double price. I really believe that this is dishonest behavior.

Rooms are small but clean. Walls are thin. Stuff is that competent and English capabilities are quite limited. I stayed one night for transit and that's more than enough. No atmosphere, no typical local Guesthouse feeling. But it's very cheap compare to other accommodations.
