Apparently the tail end of a Bangladeshi cyclone caused the strong winds and intermittent heavy rain squalls which largely confined us to the hotel. The beach was close by and enjoyed by many soccer players, but the sand was grey and strewn with rubbish. Our room on ground floor was clean but ver basic - only one bedside table and...

The place is not so far with the airport and it is very near of Bay of Bengal. The service is not very bad and morning buffet breakfast is nice and the prices are reasonable.Room service is available.

This resort is located very near to the Beach but unfortunately the beach is having black sand but one can have view of the ocean. The rooms are clean with clean linen, tea maker, minibar and hot water in the bathrooms. The hot & cold water mixer in the bathroom is innovative and worth noticing. The service is good and...

We stayed in this hotel from 3D2N from 09-Feb-16 to 11-Feb-16. We were given coconut water as welcome drinks and they are the best welcome drinks we had ever had. The hotel is old and worn out but this actually charmed us. The furnitures are made of wood and solid. The room is spacious. I like the location as it...

It's an old building, really reminiscent of hotels in the '60s. It is generally in a good state of repair (there is ongoing maintenance) - the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds; the bathrooms are far from modern, but everything works more or less as it should - plenty of hot water. Evening meals in the restaurant are very good...

The name of this hotel should not deceive you. The ancient splendor of this place is now a crumbling building. Many windows have plastic, it is raining in many rooms, the swimming pool is just a breeding ground for mosquitos, and the staff is not particularly friendly. 85 USD for a single room is definitely a rip-off for something should...

Not really a resort or spa, but the rooms are clean and have AC and hot water. A bit removed from the town and the beach is nothing to write home about. Nice restaurant with open air seating next to the pool.

The name (at least to me) suggested something more fancy than what I found : large hotel, rooms okay, bath okay , hot water working (Myanmar style contraptions), restaurant with outside seating, just one road between the hotel and the beach, not far from airport. Seems to have been a former state-owned hotel and the atmosphere is still like that....

We stayed 2 nights at this property but did not get much of an opportunity to really experience it as we were off doing humanitarian work most of our waking hours. I remember especially its location on the beach. That alone is worth the price of admission. You can bring your meal outdoors and eat in the courtyard where the...
