We stayed one night on the way to Mrauk U. The hotel is not fancy but the staff is eager to please and the location is good. Rooms are dated and not stylish but clean. The bathrooms are not so nice but the water is hot and water pressure is acceptable. Breakfast was ok too, especially if you like Asian...

We spent 5 nights there. We are going there every year from at lest 4 years. The place is well located, with kind staff and nice rooms. I suggest the deluxe. The style is unusual , all seems made in old sandstones, as Old Mrauk Oo. There is a restaurant with good food and breakfast is simple but good. There...

We spent the night in Sittwe in order to get a boat to Mrauk U. Not a lot of choice when it came to finding a hotel. We found very little to like about the city or the hotel. Friendly staff, not very expensive. But very rundown, on the Main Street so noisy, breakfast definitely not gourmet. We had a...

I have stayed in several of the hotels in Sittwe, unfortunately on my most recent trip, the only one with any rooms available was the Shwe Tha Zin, in a brief nutsheel, it is noisy due to construction and located on the main road. It is old, with it most resent renovation happening at least 3 decades ago. The rooms...

We stayed at the hotel just for a stopover on our trip to Mrauk U. Just for one night it will work and was ok for us. And yes there is enough to complain about: very small room, dirty small bathroom, room on 4th floor, breakfast on 5th but no elevator and breakfast is poor. But for us staff in...

This hotel is under ongoing development. We booked online as we sat in the hotel reception for £35 a night & chose to upgrade from superior to deluxe double room at additional £2.80. Staff had no problem with us doing this & it saved our Khat for our last night in Yangon. In all honesty we really enjoyed our stay...

It is a simple hotel, but has everything you need. The bathroom, especially the tub, was not very clean. The wifi does not work in the room, but down by the Reception it is really fast. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is rather small, unless you like Asian breakfast.

Lonely planet says its the best hotel in sittwe, but it's not! The rooms are tiny, dusty and in our room the ventilaror fell out of the wall, leaving a big hole looking outside.... They are renovating the place, but I believe it's a lost cause. There are much better hotels just around the corner, friends were staying at the...

This hotel is under major renovation so is covered in dust and constant building noises. Rooms are dated and not worth the price. I am sure once its done it will be much better, but till then, I wouldn't stay there. Staff friendly and helpful. The fair location is all that saves it. Wifi is patchy.

The hotel is currently being reconstructed and is a right mess! Construction noise and dust during the day. They are building an external lift, which will be most welcome! The room was cramped and basic. The bathroom desperately needed refurbishment and was a little dirty. Breakfast, on the top floor, was a very basic buffet.
