I stayed 3 nights in this hostel, it's in the centre of the little town of Motueka and in a good distance for car to go to Abel Tasman park. The owners are very friendly and helpful, they care about the good rest of their guests. I took a private room without toilet which was ok, it was basic but...

Nice hostel, very clean, beds confortables and good location, no wifi but you can pay for MB or look for the free wifi in the I site office in front of the hostel. I will stay at the hostel if I come back to Motueka.

Free tea/coffee Clean kitchen Right across from i-site/pick ups for Abel Tasman activities Annoying timed outlets (have to press button to charge for 20min at a time... so charging your phone consistently is impossible, if not inconvenient) They almost never have anyone sitting at reception which is also very annoying to get a hold of them... Metal bunk bed needed...

Nice place to stay, the owner is very friendly and they did a real effort on the decoration. Too bad that the WiFi is not free, this is not a expensive service to set up in 2016 and it make all the difference. -1 for having installed a timer on the power sockets in the rooms which is just a...

A great location in central Motueka and easy access into Abel Tasman. A clean and tidy complex directly across the road from the i-site. Double En-suite room was comfortable, warm and great value. Suzanne is very welcoming and helpful.

We stayed at Hat Trick Lodge during the Easter weekend as a base to go to Abel Tasman National Park. It was by far the closest place to the bus stop, making this accommodation the best one when you don't have a car. It was pretty cheap ($64/night for a double room, no ensuite) and ideal for your needs. The...

Hat Trick Lodge location right opposite the I-site is very convenient & handy to all amenities. The owner was only too willing to help us with sight-seeing options and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Our double room with bathroom & toilet attached was large & airy and although the linen was older it was all very clean. There...

This is a very friendly place to stay; the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. Our double en-suite room was very comfortable and a good place to stay before tramping the Heaphy Track for five days. It is very conveniently situated for shops and restaurants.

Paul was very welcoming and friendly. We called at 10am, after being locked out of our car all night (long story!) to book a last minute room. He got the cleaners to prepare our room so we could go straight in, which was amazing! One of the best kitchens I've ever seen in a backpackers, lots of dishes and cooking...
