Before I start this property review, I must say that Anakao is a hidden gem but not for every traveller and would not recommend it for families. They lack infrastructures, roads, the beaches have no palm trees or shadow places and the scarce hotels that exist are simple and not luxurious, with few amenities and restaurants with limited choices. I...

The way we arrived was unique. We had to catch a boat to Anakao but as it was a very low tide at the time of departure we had to ride on an ox cart to the speed boat! The return journey we had the same experience to get to shore! We were the only ones staying so we were...

Our final destination after a hectic action packed two weeks in Madagascar We spent two nights here and it was just beautiful. We were the only two guests as we went in cyclone season (not a cyclone to be seen) but the weather was amazing around 30degrees The bungalow was on the beach, very clean and spacious, the view was...

Spacious individual huts consisted of 2 bedrooms and an extremely large, but sparse bathroom. High ceilings. Mosquito netting with holes and one window that did not contain screens. Good hot water. Wifi and electricity only available 6-10 pm but in-room torches are provided. Beautiful beach although vendors can be a bit irritating. Good food including fish caught that day.

We really enjoyed our stay at Prince Anakao and wanted to stay longer. We were the only guests there but were given a warm welcome by owner Michel, and later again when we met his partner Diamondra who filled us in on all the local gossip! Our bungalow was stunning and certainly one of the nicest places we stayed in...

Well...the other reviews are not inaccurate...little water pressure...no internet....but the owners were so lovely. Our travel agency booked us on a flight that was changed to a later time and wouldn't allow us to connect to our international flights..the owner of the hotel..Diamonte....got our flights changed...made sure we got to the airport...made sure we had lunch....she was so so helpful......

When we arrived at the hotel early in the morning, there were 2 members of staff who seemed to be surprised at us being there (our guide had booked the hotel weeks ago). We had to wait a bit until the bungalow was ready. Right when we walked in the bungalow, there was a dead cockroach (yes I know there...

This hotel has possibly the most beautiful views I've had in a hotel. We got there by speedboat from the mainland - it's really only accessible that way, or by jeep. Because we left late, we ended up wading through relatively deep water to get to the hotel - make sure you wear sandals because of the jellyfish. If you...

Thanks for the fantastic time at le Prince Anakao! Service was great - very nice staff! They did not only do a very good job but were also very friendly and polite! Food was excellent, actually we never had somewhere else as fresh and tasty food as here!

Wonderful quiet resort on a fabulous beach accessed by boat. We took a boat to neighboring island for a snorkel, walked the beach, relaxed in shade (it was very hot), and ate well. Rooms are good, power is available at specific times but this was not a problem. Owner host was very helpful and staff were good, with good meals...
