I was here as part of booked tour to the area, so had no part in selection. The hotel has wonderful surroundings, near a wetland, trail, excellent for birding. The staff were great and food very good. Room was spacious enough and had heated towel rack, not that is was needed, but great to dry clothes on. Rooms were also quiet, could not hear neighbors. But, there was a “heat” wave of temperatures in the 70’s, which doesn’t seem high, but the sun never really goes down. As a result the room never cooled off, as with a lot of countries, their facilities are not prepared for “heat”waves. Even after a rainy day, room was warm. While the rooms had small fans, it’s not enough, they should invest in larger fans for the rooms, and window coverings, that reduced heat into the room, that can also, reduce cold in the room. Hot temperatures around the world are here to stay and hospitality industry should get on it.

We arrived late and informed the hotel in advance - they organized taxi from the airport and codes for the keybox. The rooms are nice and clean and the Breakfast do have what is needed for a nice breakfast buffe. The bacon could have been more crispy.

Friendly pleasant hotel. Our birding group stayed for three nights. My room was fine. The bathroom had no shower stall so the whole floor got wet but they did provide a squeegee to mop it up. Dinner was a fixed menu for us and was simple but pleasant and served quickly. The breakfast buffet was good.

I've been there for the beginning of a photography tour and at first as I heard "airport hotel" I thought about noise, brightness and other negative aspects, but they are all wrong!
The location ist terrific. Directly at the sea, a bird tower close by. The Spanish restaurant inside serves wonderful meals (loved sitting outside on this huge balcony) and the rooms are great. I slept very well and could take some good pictures (that weren't planned actually)

Pleasant in all respects. Wonderful surroundings. Quiet, clean, a good night's sleep. Good breakfast. Staff helpful and speak English. I would stay there again, probably for more than 3 nights. Sea view from balcony, caters to birdwatchers. Easy to find from airport.

It's all you need and not a single thing more. Close to the airport (hey, the name gives it away) but not as close as one would expect with that name.
Quite run down and except for the in-house restaurant there is absolutely NOTHING in the area. Staff was OK but not to the point where I start to write home about it.
The room was clean, quiet and the bed made no trouble at all.
Breakfast was nothing to write home about either but they had coffee so I was fine.
So why am I not happier? Well I’ve been in Oulu before and the extra ten minutes in the taxi makes a world of difference, it’s worth it.
Will I go back? Not by choice.
Would I recommend it? No, ad ten minutes in a cab.

Lovely little hotel with decent food, good proximity to Oulu Airport and very well placed to visit various birding sites, in particular the various owl boxes that are dotted around the forests. There is a short walk to the sea where a large variety of different sea birds and ducks can be seen.

This is not a luxury hotel, but an affordable and sure choice for a clean and pleasant overnight stay. The personnel was friendly and helpful. There is even a minishop for typical things a traveler might need. A big plus was the breakfast that contained unusually wide range of choices. The location is nice wether traveling on the mainroad or to the airport.

The hotel is close to the airport which is an advantage, but it is also set in very pleasant grounds. The grounds lead down to the bay, where there are many water channels, a large reedbed and a small birch woodland - ideal for we birdwatchers. Equally, the location between the airport and Oulu meant that it was easy to reach the town and also the adjacent road system which meant we could avoid town as well. We stayed for three nights. Our room was a pretty average size with a couple of twin beds and we had great views over the grounds.A large wardrobe, vanity unit, fridge and TV, and an armchair completed the furnishings. The bathroom was sizeable with a walk -in shower. We were very well fed. Breakfasts were pretty standard with cereals, etc and scrabled eggs/meatballs, plus lovely bread and jams. Dinners were inventive - splendid soups (an astringent tomato and a lovely sweet pepper stood out; always decent salads; for main course, the pike-perch in hollandaise sauce and a beef stew stood out.Desserts were OK but nothing special. So all in all, highly recommended.

Ended up here after browsing for accommodation near Oulu. I had never heard of the hotel before, but was pleasantly surprised. Based on the exterior, I assume this is an older hotel. However, rennovations have clearly taken place inside as everything looked fresh, clean and shiny.
I enjoyed my stay here. The room was more spacious than I had imagined and the staff was friendly. If I would have to criticize something, it would be the breakfast, which I found to be limited selection-wise.
Would stay again and would recommend to friends!
