I was prompted to write my first review on Trip Advisor because I felt other people need to know the truth about Mimi's. The only good thing about it is the remote and quiet location. My family and I stayed at the Christina room, the largest one. It has a queen bed and two sofas in the sitting room area,...

Come to Mimi's if you want to get away from it all, I mean REALLY get away. I correctly anticipated a relaxation vacation (which is not our norm), so we bought in to the whole thing: Completely unplugged from electronics, networks, radios, televisions, commercialism of any kind. We've done it in the wilderness, but it feels very different when you...

I echo the reviews here; my wife and I visited Guanica in mid-November 2014 and David received us warmly. The room was bright and colorful - and the bed comfy! Good walking in the nature preserve nearby and David has lots of ideas for hikes and restaurants. Bring insect repellant for outdoor activities. Also be sure you have David's driving...

We stayed about 1 week at Mimi's Guesthouse and we found it such a lovely place to stay in Guanica! It is a kind of colonial villa, with lots of palms and plants all around. Our room was very nice and comfortable, maybe the shower was not so powerful but we definitively didn't care. The owner is very helpful and kind,...

We stayed here for two nights in July and those two nights were probably the most fun we had during our visit to Puerto Rico. Guanica is currently in the midst of a drought, as is evident by the state of much of the flora in the area, but despite the drought, Mimi's yards were still quite green, lush and...

First, my apologies to our FABULOUS host and owner David for this delayed review. We stayed at Mimi's in February, and it was a great experience. The place is incredibly beautiful and secluded and is perfect for an off-the beaten path getaway. David is so gracious and super fun to be with, and shared his extensive knowledge of the area,...

My boyfriend and I recently spent three nights and four days at Mimi's Guesthouse and had an amazing time. Crazy amazing. We were looking for an escape from our busy lives and Mimi's Guesthouse was it. The rooms are beautifully decorated. We were in the Christina Suite. Really vibrant and tropical. The secluded beach was stunning and we only saw...

My husband and I just enjoyed one of the most delicious, memorable meals ever at Mimi's Guest House. Dinner was personally catered to "just the two of us" by Chef Romy, a third-generation chef and restaurateur from Ponce. We were served six stunning courses by the Chef himself, who explained each dish as he set it down on the huge...

My girlfriend and I stayed here on the Saturday of Easter weekend and had a blast. The room was beautiful and spacious. David the owner was amazingly friendly and helpful. A big group of Puerto Ricans from Utuado were staying in the guesthouse at the same time and invited us to join them for BBQ and drinks which was a...

My husband and I were looking for a week away from work and wished to be removed from all of the gaudy resorts. David, the very engaging and helpful host, says he wants people to 'live like a Puerto Rican' but with all the comforts they are used to. The property is not a luxury resort, but is rustic and...

“The Chistina Room has an open concept kitchen/living/dining room, a back bedroom, full bathroom off the bedroom and the front verada to itself. I was also in the Cibelline Room and it is a one room studio on the back with a small kitchenette (no stove) and bathroom with shower only.
