I received a warm welcome from owner Toni. I loved the peaceful location - I was able to leave the car there and walk along country lanes into Totnes to start my day of exploring. I could also walk to Cott Inn to have dinner. Toni was helpful with ideas and loaned me a walking map for the day. My...

This is the perfect retreat after a days walking. We received a friendly welcome & a much enjoyed cup with of tea. Our bedroom had a lovely view of the delightful garden, very comfortable bed & the fudge was a real treat. Breakfast was delicious & Toni was a super hostess.

Rainy-day walking in Devon - a disappointment UNTIL crossing the threshold of Appalachian Spring. Falling into a welcoming cottage and then into a cloud- like bed that seemed to envelop rather than just support. Biscuits and fudge next to the bed - just in case. The only problem with the emerald laneway leading away and back to the trail was...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the B&B, the hostess is amazing and makes you feel very much at home from the minute that you arrive. The room was homely and very comfortable and the breakfasts were absolutely superb! The B&B is situated in the most glorious countryside and I would recommend whole heartedly staying at Appalachian Spring!!

What a lovely B&B in the heart of Devon! Toni is a fabulous host - I was welcomed with a cuppa, the bedroom was so comfortable and those poached eggs in the morning set me up for a great day of walking. Thanks for all your care.

Toni's magical cottage is a perfect place to stay for nearby Dartington or Totnes, and with the south facing garden is even more of a treat when the sun is out. My room had a wonderful selection of books to borrow, and I spent most of my weekend reading in the sunshine. Toni also served up wonderful breakfasts, and the...

Such a pleasant surprise! Appalachian Spring exceeded expectations. The location is stunning and works its magic on you if you're looking for a peaceful but also convenient spot. The icing on the cake was the personal touches, thanks to Toni, a warm, welcoming lady who runs the B&B and goes out of her way to make sure you feel at...

We arrived far later than had been planned but were immediately impressed by the warm welcome from Toni. We felt instantly at home. Our room was comfortable and very quiet with some nice touches including biscuits and fudge and a good choice of hot drinks. It also had a view over the beautiful garden. This was our first visit to...

On my return visit to Toni and her fairy tale cottage, I found it as perfect as before. Booked last minute, and she still found a bed for us! She managed to book supper for us on the pub near-by, even though it had been fully booked! Always welcoming, balanced, and patient! Enchanting garden and household arrangements thought right through!...
