I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the B&B, the hostess is amazing and makes you feel very much at home from the minute that you arrive. The room was homely and very comfortable and the breakfasts were absolutely superb! The B&B is situated in the most glorious countryside and I would recommend whole heartedly staying at Appalachian Spring!!

What a lovely B&B in the heart of Devon! Toni is a fabulous host - I was welcomed with a cuppa, the bedroom was so comfortable and those poached eggs in the morning set me up for a great day of walking. Thanks for all your care.

Toni's magical cottage is a perfect place to stay for nearby Dartington or Totnes, and with the south facing garden is even more of a treat when the sun is out. My room had a wonderful selection of books to borrow, and I spent most of my weekend reading in the sunshine. Toni also served up wonderful breakfasts, and the...

Such a pleasant surprise! Appalachian Spring exceeded expectations. The location is stunning and works its magic on you if you're looking for a peaceful but also convenient spot. The icing on the cake was the personal touches, thanks to Toni, a warm, welcoming lady who runs the B&B and goes out of her way to make sure you feel at...

We arrived far later than had been planned but were immediately impressed by the warm welcome from Toni. We felt instantly at home. Our room was comfortable and very quiet with some nice touches including biscuits and fudge and a good choice of hot drinks. It also had a view over the beautiful garden. This was our first visit to...

On my return visit to Toni and her fairy tale cottage, I found it as perfect as before. Booked last minute, and she still found a bed for us! She managed to book supper for us on the pub near-by, even though it had been fully booked! Always welcoming, balanced, and patient! Enchanting garden and household arrangements thought right through!...

We spent two nights as guests of Toni. Comfortable room and interested and engaged host. Many guests come for Dartington music, which made for interesting discussions at an excellent, freshly cooked breakfast (with good, strong coffee). Room was spacious, with very comfortable bed.

I feel lucky to have found such a good B&B. My stay was just for one night, visiting a friend at Dartington Hall's Summer School. The basics are excellent but there is also a lot of attention to detail. Useful instructions both on finding the place and how to use everything, a helpful ability to gain access even if the...

In a beautiful part of Devon, this is a delightful guest house with the personal attention of Toni, who thinks of everything to make one's stay as comfortable as possible. Beautifully soft bed, spacious private ensure bathroom, delicious vegetarian breakfast (as requested) - this was all I could have wanted. I hope to stay again.

Toni has a beautiful house and garden fit for the National Garden Scheme brochures. She was a delightful hostess who tries very hard to "think of everything" to help make her guests feel at home, which we did in bundles. Her breakfast including fresh fruit are locally sourced and her poached egg is second to none. One of our party unfortunately...
