We booked via booking.com as we were travelling up from Cornwall to see a band playing Easter Sunday in Totnes. We arrived Sunday lunch time and amazingly even though they were fully booked for Sunday Lunch they managed to fit us in. Food was amazing and we sat outside in the sunshine. Our room was wonderful. Clean and crisp bed...

Had a faultless Sunday lunch here with my parents a couple of weeks ago the food was fantastic the pub building beautiful and service very professional - but what made this lunch special was the pub's owner taking the time and trouble to tell us about the pub and show us around on very busy lunchtime service he's clearly very...

What a beautiful thatched pub which dates from 1320, good parking and easy to find (well signposted) on the edge of Totnes. Busy inside, worth booking. Very helpful manager and staff. Food was very good and served relatively quickly. Menu is not extensive but I believe there is just about something for everyone. Not a bad price although only soft...

First time visit on march 31st .Booked a table as boy it gets busy...so popular. The food was divine and the owners helpful indeed, we didn't like the first place we sat as it was too noisy so we were immediately moved to a lovely table. I had ham , egg and chips with the bread and olive/balsamic to start....

Went for lunch here having past it several times and was very pleasantly surprised. There is something about Thatched Devon Long Houses that oozes charm and coupled with great food what more can you wish for. There are several seating areas and in our case as we hadn't booked we were directed to a small ante room - very cosy...

Lovely thatched pub, with great food. Just stayed overnight to break journey from Cornwall, and was very pleased with the clean room and basic facilities. The pub was very busy because it was Mothering Sunday, but the staff were very attentive and helpful with carrying the luggage etc. The food in the restaurant was top class and we had a...

Stayed overnight at this popular venue. The room was delightful, though a little noisy early on, but it's an old building . The staff could not have been more helpful . The bar/restaurant full ( suggest booking might be in order) which lead to a nice atmosphere and the food, beautifully presented and extremely tasty. I can well recommend staying...

If you are looking for a break with character then this is the place for you. From the low oak beamed ceilings, ingle nook fireplace, creaky floorboards and first class food you are transported back to a time when the personal touch mattered and everybody knew your name. When you see a car park full from 6pm to 11pm by...

This establishment hails from 1320 with thatched roof and looks like a Hollywood set. Pleasant atmosphere with no piped music to get on your nerves. Barfood was a cut above average and real ales on tap. I ate venison pie with handout chips and a Pint of Otter.
