Me and my husband decided to book a weekend away for our second wedding Anniversary and had been looking a good month or so before the actual planned dates(10-12th March) we had set aside. Despite every effort to find and book somewhere for this somehow nothing seemed to be grabbing our attention and I guess we sort of resided that,...

Just spent 2 nights at Ashfield House last week. On arriving we were made to feel most welcome by Andrea and we were accommodated in the Garden Room. The log burning stove in our private lounge was most welcome on what had been a very wet day and provided us with a very cosy room for us 3 ladies to...

After a long walk in the rain at Malham we got a warm welcome upon our late arrival. There was plenty of homemade cake to choose from and an honesty bar should we want to use it. Stayed in the garden suite. It was on two levels with a separate lounge. Parking was quite tricky as there wasn't much room....

A delightful place to stay in Grassington. The bedrooms were warm and clean . It was a particularly wet weekend , and we were welcomed back at the end of the day with a warm fire and delicious cake, which was free to guests . There was an excellent choice to choose from . The breakfast was hearty .This is...

We stayed from 3rd-5th Feb. Arrived later than we planned but the owners were there with a friendly greeting. The whole property was lovely. The bed was comfy and the room was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent and filling. There were lovely surprises which made the stay very memorable. There were home made cakes which we could help our self...

Just stayed there for two nights and had a lovely time. The owners were very welcoming, the room on the small side but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff very helpful. Ashfield House is located right In the heart of the town, but set back off the main road off and very quiet. A lovely...

We spent three nights here last April. The accommodation and breakfast was faultless and overall the stay was extremely pleasant and relaxing. It's in a central location, close to shops, bars etc but still quiet and with parking.

Ashfield House would be easy to miss as it's set back from the main square with an unimposing frontage that sets the tone for the whole of the building. It's old, quaint and has stacks of character. We stayed for two nights in a comfortable room with cooked to order breakfast, free home made cakes and an honesty bar. The...

The only redeeming features of Ashfield House are its location and the exterior , which is chocolate box pretty. As soon as we set foot inside, we were struck by the cold , several unlit fires and the inappropriate tacky leather furniture in the reception areas. It felt really unwelcoming. The staff were 'in your face' , going into great detail...

The two most recent reviews pretty much sum it up for me. My main complaint was the heating (or lack of it), the brochure makes a point of mentioning the log burners in the lounges downstairs; being December it would have helped if they had been lit! We were informed on arrival what time the heating was on during the...
