family loved it. private campsites. Booked only for one night spent the next day at the beach really wanted to stay another night and even tho they were fully booked a lady named bev offered us a double lot for same price since it was the only one available and the office was now close for the day. Unfortunately we...

My family has been going to Ol' MacDonald's Resort for the past 6 years. After our last trip we will not return. We arrived to a messy site. The previous camper had left the fire pit full of ash as well a clothesline and flypaper up. We phoned the front office and they told us they would not send someone...

We booked a few weeks before we were planning a trip, and were able to get a site from the Sunday to Friday. We arrived around 3 I think. When we pulled up to the registration building, there was a couple people on a golf cart who approached us. They gave us our info sheet and sent us on our...

We booked two sites for the upcoming August 26 to 29th weekend for 4 nights each back in January of 2015 only to find out that upon calling yesterday to confirm that they only had both sites booked for 2 nights each. They're response over the phone when we said that we should be booked for 4 nights "no, this...

I was nervous about our impending trip to Ol' MacDonalds, having read some of the reviews. However, I am happy to report we had a great long weekend there. As you approach the campground, the first thing you see is a large field full of tents and trailers. I won't deny it - this looks pretty unsightly, and it did...

Ol' Macdonald's Old Farm style resort! We came on a Saturday and stayed one day camping in a tent in the overflow area. Very nice place but our GPS got us lost about 2 minutes away. They have so much for kids; we saw playgrounds, movie nite, pedal cars, train ride and of course, the beach. The weather was nice....

We just got back from a 3 night stay at Ol' Macdonalds. We stayed in site 265 which was an unserviced site pretty much as far from the beach as one can get. We phoned the morning of and got this site. Despite other reviews saying the staff was rude I found them to be the exact opposite. They were...

We went for a weekend and wished we stayed longer. Lots of activities, great for families, and I found for how busy the campground was it was fairly quiet. Lots of respectful campers :) The store onsite had everything you may need and the cafe food was surprisingly good!! We will be returning but will book at least 3 nights(hopefully...

This is a great place to camp in Central Alberta for those who like the busy campgrounds with lots to do. There are bikes, mini golf, arcade, train and swing rides, beach, store, restaurant etc etc! There are quite a few different camping areas as well as a few cabins. Would recommend for young families!

We camped this May long. We showed up on Thursday, and we were the only campers there (we just beat the rush). Staff were busy maintaining and prepping for the long weekend onslaught. Everything looked great. We were given a free game of pool at the arcade, and since there was a fire ban, they were setting up to hold...
