Probably one of the best split pea soups that I have had in my lifetime. We were at Aspen Crossing for lunch in August before we took a 3 hour train ride.grilled chicken Caesar salad was great as were the shrimp veggie salad rolls

We had tickets for the dinner theater. It was a murder mystery and we had to try and solve the murders. It is a long night though, starting at 6 pm and finishing at 10 pm. There are numerous train rides with different themes so one can choose an earlier time if getting out late is a problem. They also...

Spent an awesome Night in the Northern Alberta Caboose after doing the Polar Express Ride. Accommodation is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. While the furness kicked in throughout the night, the bedroom in cupola was cold and I would recommend taking extra blankets for the winter months to supplement what is provided. Nevertheless a great...

A fun filled "Prairie Tour" train ride from Aspen Crossing near Mossleigh, Alberta on a beautiful September afternoon with a couple of friends is one I'll remember for years! Exploring the railcars, and watching the prairie scenery rolling by...(Harvest Time!) Being hounded by some stubborn train robbers, watching an excellent shooting demonstration while enjoying a tasty afternoon picnic under big...

We arrived at the crossing..parking a bit confusing...very nice gift shop.. They are still trying to retrofit to accommodate handicap. But my mom did ok with her walker..small dining cars (to be expected on an old train) The staff and servers were wonderful. . They also had a couple singing old songs and playing guitar and banjo. The food was...

We just returned from 2 nights at Aspen Crossing and we had a great time! Our family of 4 stayed in the Union Pacific caboose and the kids thought it was a blast! The beds are firm and the double bed pull out sofa is a tight fit for a couple but still a far cry from "roughing it." All...

This was our third visit to Aspen Crossing. The train excursions are well done but our experience in the dining car was not good at all. Our server missed ordering one meal so three of us got our meals, which were average. Twenty minutes later the fourth meal was still "just a minute away" but by then we had all...

For my husband's birthday, I got him (and our six year-old granddaughter) tickets aboard the Wednesday afternoon Circus Train Extravaganza. One of his "Grandpa" buddies told him about the train ride and my husband was keen to go. At $69.99/adult and $49.99/child, I thought the tickets were pricey. But. It was money well-spent. It's a three-hour train ride, chock full...

Bathrooms and showers were clean. Staff was very friendly. Sites were spacious and private with lots of trees. The trains and different activities offered were really interesting. Lots to do, never bored.

We stayed two nights at Aspen Crossing - in two different cabooses. I really like what they have done as far as the remodeling of these old train cars. What I didn't like was the assertion that the cars would accommodate 6 people or 5 people. And, when I called to check whether or not the beds were separate I...
