Stayed here for 3 nights whilst taking a training course. The rooms are very basic cleaned every day, towels are changed and kettle in the room for a brew. On suite is of a decent size and the power shower is great plenty of hot water, the underfloor heating was a pleasant surprise. The free WiFi works around majority of...

Came here for a working weekend. Nice grounds and the conference facilities were nice. Food reasonable and all a buffet type self service. Bar pricey. Accommodation basic but clean. Easy to find and plenty parking spaces away from the building.

Was placed here whilst having training in a venue near by. I think if you were having a large scale group training in the centre, it wouldn't be half bad. However, I was on my own and it doesn't really lend itself to lone travellers. You don't stay in the old building pictured, you stay in a modern, very travel...

Attended a Leadership in Emergency Planning event at this venue. Basic rooms but they are spacious, clean and enough clothes storage. Tea and coffee facilities are in the room and heating is spot on. Staff are absolutely fabulous and food was plentiful and very well cooked. Training rooms are well equipped with state of the art equipment. Only disappointment was...

This hotel is located a little way off the A19 toward York. A spectacular building with excellent facilities and in the main really friendly staff. The accommodation is top drawer, the gym is small but well equipped and the leisure facilities ideal for pretty much all you would need. The conference and training rooms are modern, airy and equipped with...

Arriving on a Monday afternoon I was warmly welcomed, and given the key to my first floor room in the accommodation block. The room is perfectly satisfactory, with a comfortable bed and reasonable bathroom. My evening meal was served in the Hawkhills historic house, and was excellent, offering a few choices from the menu, and served in a buffet style....

The main building itself is very impressive and boasts excellent conference and dining facilities. However, the accommodation is quite poor and rooms are very basic for the price. Heating in the room is inadequate and the bathroom is just a concrete wet room. The venue is located within very impressive pretty grounds, the walk to reception from the car park...

Although the food was good the accomodation was below average, and worse still the bed (cheapest of mattresses) was the most uncomfortable I have experienced for a long time. Parking is a long walk away from the digs so pray that it doesn't when getting to & from your car This property is protected by its conference centre status &...

Beautiful setting in acres of rolling countryside and modern facilities made this an ideal venue for our conference. Delegate rooms are in a purpose built accommodation block and all are en suite with standards at least comparable to Premier Inn. The dining room was wonderful - oak panelled grandeur and food was tasty and well presented. Lecture theatre and break...
