A lovely place with welcoming staff, delicious meals, idyllic setting, and great music on the sound system. We booked at the last minute and received excellent service including an unexpected and delicious evening meal. We particularly enjoyed the serve yourself and cosy bar. We will be back!

Property's Favourite Review
We recently stayed at Weeke Barton as part of a holiday in Devon and absolutely loved it. The building itself is gorgeous and you feel as though you are in a countryside fairytale! We had booked the Orla room which was super spacious and had the most comfortable bed! The free standing bath in the room was a great touch and was so lovely to use after doing long walks. All the decor of the rooms (bedrooms, lounge, dining room etc) was so cool; Sam and Jo have great taste and pay attention to even the smallest things making it feel equally stylish and comfortable. Other highlights were the food. We had breakfast and dinner there most days which was delicious and the portions of the vegetarian food was spot on as you often don't get as much in comparison to the non-veggie meals in places. Jo's homemade granola is so so so good! We also brought a few bags to have back at home. There are also great pubs nearby (The Nobody Inn, Manor Inn) and a vineyard which unfortunately wasn't open when we were, otherwise we would have booked a tasting session. We will definitely return and highly recommend booking Weeke Barton to those wanting to visit Dartmoor and the nearby areas. Thanks Jo & Sam!

Booked a weekend at Weeke Barton early July First weekend away since Covid and had a great time Our room was beautiful with double height ceiling and sheepskin window seat and very comfy bed Breakfasts put far more luxurious hotels to shame with award winning home made granola ( we took home two packets ) and delicious fry-ups We also ate dinner in one night and it was seriously delicious cooked by our hostess Jo who really adds to the whole experience The gardens are beautiful and we tried a couple of walks listed in the bedrooms and both were wonderful You can buy delicious sparkling and still wine direct from the local producer 2 miles down the road also available in the hotel honesty bar Area is full of interesting things to do we will definitely go back as totally ticked all our boxes !

We loved our few days with Jo and Sam. We stayed for 4 nights. We needed to de-stress in an informal atmosphere. Which we did…with the added bonus of such a beautiful setting, a lovely room, large very attractive grounds and charming hosts. We were able to explore the beautiful countryside and the beach is only about 30 to 40 minutes away. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Had a wonderful stay here in Kota, the garden room. The house and gardens are beautiful, super peaceful and quiet. Perfect location for some pub walks and exploring the local area. Breakfast was also very good! Would definitely stay here again :)
