Stopped here as it was on the main road. Lovely big restaurant which has a hotel attached. Meal was good. The staff were attentive I had lamb shank with mash and veg could have done with more veg but in fairness I didn't ask so that may have been available.

Visited this hotel for a family meal in the evening, we have used this hotel in the past and never had any issues but thus time it seemed not so good, a couple of simple errors on the meals which where rectified but it shouldn't have happened. I probably use again though.

Good Beds and renovation looking good will be fab once finished. Meals excellent and drinks well priced. Staff v helpful and bar staff singled out as the best. Would recommend rooms rear facing for a quite night but to be honest my front facing one was quite for me.

After eating at another place close by our Hotel, sorry we missed this place on the way in, it was worth going a 1/4 mile around the round about to get to this place on the other side of the dual carriageway. Food was good and we didn't have to wait long for our meal. Standard pub grub so you... More

We went to the restaurant here this evening to check out how it was after the refurbishment. I have to say that we were very impressed. The new layout and decoration works well and manages the feel more cosy whilst increasing the number of covers it can handle. The revised menu is interesting and all of the selections we made... Had a lovely celebration meal here in the newly decorated function room. Decor excellent for a wedding and 33 of us had a lovely roast dinner. Some guests stayed the night in newly decorated rooms. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment and only half the rooms have been done so far so limited availability. The bar and outside area are lovely... More

Disorganised, broken promises, no communication a real let down. Not recommended at all and don't let the refurbishment make you think differently, its still got the same management and staff. Food needs a new chef, everything needs a good clean and staff need to have proper training.

Disgusting filthy building site, no restaurant, so only a tray left outside the room for breakfast. No staff only one man, the room was not made up either day the quilt was literally thrown over the bed, the cups were not changed either day. Feel totally ripped off as it was not particularly cheap. Never again.

I have just arrived back from a night away at this hotel as the usual chain I book with were full and I thought that this hotel would be of a similar standard. I was wrong - the room smelt of mildew, the tv was hanging off the wall. The bath water temperature was dangerously hot and could not be... More
