We stayed on the 5th floor. As soon as we entered the room there was an order that defiantly was coming from the bathroom/plumbing we could clearly tell. I was ok with trying to make the best of it however my spouse wasn't happy and suggested we should request another room. This is where poor customer service starts. In short...

My mother and I stayed at the Riu Palace for 4 days. The food was so disappointing. There was no flavor to anything we ate. The fruit, and the ice cream was good. The staff was ok, seemed to be jaded by the tourists they come in contact with. There are a TON of pools, and they are all kept...

Visited here May 2017 Our check in was very quick and without any problems. Staff at front desk were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were very nice and clean. Furniture in room was in great condition and walls nicely painted. Fridge was nicely stocked with 3 beer, 2 large bottles of water and 4 soft drinks. They were replenished every...

The resort is very nice, and the people, especially the staff, are very friendly and helpful. But, the food is the same mundane, ordinary buffet food you could get anywhere. Not up to 5 star level. And the minibar service is worse than the food. Three of our 4 liquor bottles were empty the whole time we were there, and...

What a big hotel! We had good service, but night lift was a big boring. The food was OK. Beach was great and especially the walk to the monkey bar! Loved that. Room a/c was not that wonderful at all. And noticed a bit of sandflea bites. We saw and heard howler monkeys. For me, the monkeys in the tree...

Costa Rica was absolutely gorgeous. My boyfriend and I visited for the very first time and stayed in two different hotels during our visit. The first was in the mountains at (Borinquen Mountain Resort & Spa) and the second was at RIU Guanacaste. Both locations were a bit secluded with little to do in the immediate area unless you booked...

Food was very poor, I have stayed in numerous all inclusives around the world and the food here was definitely not 5 Star.Everynight and lunch time we struggled to find any thing to eat. The only place fairly good was the Chinese Restaurant. No coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms only optics as an English Lady I like a...

Where do i start? Costa Rica is beautiful! We stayed at the Riu Guanacaste, we have been constant supporters of the Riu chain. We've stayed at the Riu in Jamaica, Dominican Republic & Mexico but this experience is by far the worst! Our room was nice but the service was horrible. Little to no interaction with the staff, no nightly...
