Even though the room was located next to a loud stream, the rooms were well soundprooded and we didn't hear a thing. The decoration was nice and ecologic. The beds were good, but the pillows little too soft for us. The sercive was amazing and helpful. The local breakfast was plentiful and tasty, although the yoghurt was really sour. Being the only hotel in a popular village, the price of a room was quite high as well.

Hotel Mathildedal was a pleasant suprise - the room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The service was really friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the breakfast a lot. All in all a very good experience and I can recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the area.

We visited the place for a couple of days in order to make walks in the surrounding national park. The hotel itself was exactly the kind of concept that we like: small enough to be individual, the premises having some history behind (in this case industrial) and nicely renovated/ decorated. The sleeping quality was also good, the beds comfortable and the building quiet. The breakfast was good with local products served. The service was friendly.

The hotel is very small with less than 10 rooms. The location is peaceful but still within a walking distance of everything in the (very small) village. The National Park of Teijo is also nearby. Free parking. Staff was friendly and children were treated well, too. Breakfast was a set plate but of good quality (well, maybe with the exception of the orange juice...) and satisfactory selection. The cafe downstairs offers tasty lunch, too. The rooms are great and are located on the second floor, accessible by a ramp (no elevator, but it's ok with baby prams...). There was a minor malfunction in the door of the shower cubicle, but otherwise everything was superb. The only downside is that you have to pay dearly for all this - with the same price you can have a decent room in the middle of Helsinki and Mathildedal is a small village in the middle of countryside...

This is a very nice small hotel in a beautiful location. Very peaceful. The rooms are very clean and quiet. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast was great. Very close to a national park and there are many walking trails.
