We stayed at White Lodge for 3 nights over Easter after reading the excellent reviews. I can happily say the reviews are accurate. The house is modern and spacious, large bedrooms overlook woodland, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is finished to an extremely high standard. Breakfast was very good as were the afternoon treats left in our room. Ann and Martin are great hosts who go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay, everything from recommending restaurants to booking cabs. If you are looking luxury accommodation in a lovely part of the world, White Lodge is a perfect choice.
Every comfort has been thought of for their guests. Top quality rooms and a top quality welcome plus a delicious breakfast. Set in a peaceful location within easy reach of loads of interesting places to visit and surrounded by lovely woodland ( at this time of year full of bluebells and anenomes, which was a bonus). I can highly recommend a stay at White Lodge.
Exceptionally considerate hosts, high quality accommodation in a lovely location. Breakfast was excellent and every effort was made to provide the gluten free and low sugar food requested. Nothing was too much trouble.
White Lodge is a design classic in the loveliest of settings. The place is full of light and you are naturally drawn to the large windows with views of gardens and woodland. Downstairs is really spacious and the bedrooms lack for nothing with a definite feel of luxury. Ann and Martin are very welcoming and there is a great choice of breakfasts including delicious homemade ingredients. The area is fascinating with a great deal of things to do and see. We had an enjoyable and memorable stay and would love to return.
Ann and Martin are very welcoming ..before we go there Ann and Martin sent us a list of different breakfasts and a list of different places to eat out at and there phone numbers so we could book up for the days we are there. The bedrooms were beautiful the beds are super king size and so comfortable and the on suit shower rooms were lovey and spotless. There was tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as fresh water .The breakfast were perfect plenty of fresh fruit (yummy). The best part was Ann’s wheaten bread it is the best bread I’ve ever tasted . It’s really peaceful if you love wildlife there’s plenty,
