How would you feel if you were miles from home, accommodation vacancies were at an all time low, and you found out that the reservation you had made was for NEXT MONTH!!! Panic!!! that is just what I was feeling when we checked in to The Big 4 Howard Springs Holiday Park. Thankfully there was one cabin available for the... More

Good shady sites. Lots to do for the kids, jumping bag, water park and great swimmimg pools. Very clean and tidy amenities, friendy staff and overall great park. Will sure be back to stay here. It's a little way out of darwin but has everything you need close by. Only takes 20min to drive to darwin

We first had a budget family room which was so small but the wonderful staff were able to move us to a bigger two bedroom cabin (we paid the extra) and the holiday became relaxing. The kids had their own room and so did we (thank goodness). Travelling for two weeks with three tweens can be frustrating so we had... More

Howard springs is or was a nice park but maintenance has taken a back seat to filling every available site. Booked 6 months in advance and got the smallest most average site in the park. Many minor issues took away from this once very nice park. Power outages, septic smell, large trees drooping branches, amenities lights not working for over... More

This park has everything. Wildlife, water activities for both adults and children, whilst remaining fairly quiet. Highly recommend. 1/2hr to the Darwin Centre but worth the drive. We thought value for money, $46 per night 2 Adults in a large van.

Dog run sewage coming out of ground , Power off more times than on. No water pressure. Toilets not cleaned properly, they stink of sewage. Branches hanging in trees ready to fall, If wanting more reviews log onto WikiCamps as we weren't the only ones to complain

Thanks so much for your feedback, Robyn V, and please accept our apologies regarding the power and septic pump issues we experienced a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, our septic pump required repair which was done as a matter of urgency and has been fully operational for two weeks with no residue odour. This park online looked excellent which is why we booked 10 days here, what a disappointment. Even though the park was clearly full to capacity the whole time we were there they still kept packing them in, so close that they were unable to put anyone beside us if the had a slide out on their van, the spot they... Thanks for providing us with an opportunity to respond to your concerns, stevemartinwright. We hired a Britz 4WD and used Howard Springs as our first night on the road while we got used to the new camp set up. It was clean and well maintained and we had a couple of nice grassy powered sites. Kids enjoyed the pool.
