We (couple) stayed for 5 nights in July 2015. The B& B is located about 20 minutes from Summerside and 20 minutes from Cavendish - a great location. The building has been beautifully renovated from top to bottom recently. As guests you have the run of the main floor (you can keep your own wine & beer in the fridge) with 2 sitting rooms as well as outdoor deck space. The rooms are just gorgeous with the most comfortable beds that we have had in any Hotel. The best part is the friendly Owner Elaine. She is a great host who cooks amazing breakfasts using Island ingredients. Elaine's recommendations for sights to see are invaluable. Simply a great place to stay. We will be back!

Elaine, the owner is what makes the Rogers Island Getaway so special. She truly has a talent for decor, cooking and most important making her guests feel like friends. With all the pressures of running this very busy inn, she makes you feel like you are her top priority. Believe the previous reviews - the house is lovely as well as the outdoor seating area.

We were in Room 1 ( William and Mary room?) ....it's super sophisticated and very comfortable. We were a little worried that there was no AC but it was no problem. (Even when the daytime temperatures were in the mid 80s.) The fan and the breeze through the windows kept us cool enough to need a blanket for each of the three nights we slept here. Plenty of room to spread out and a nice big balcony are also a plus for this particular room.

Elaine cooks breakfast as if she is serving royalty! Not just the presentation but the flavors were outstanding. Coffee all day, ice, beach towels etc... everything was available and no trouble at all. There are also little snacks handy in the kitchen. You will definitely feel right at home here.

There are several good sights from here at nearby beaches. And we used Rogers Island Getaway as our base for the amazing oyster festival weekend.

Definitely book early to get space and if you can try to get room number one. Elaine needs more rooms!

We stayed here for three nights and definitely enjoyed this B&B. Elaine is the consummate host and is over-The top personable. She knows great places to recommend
for dining as well as sightseeing. The table she sets for breakfast you will never see duplicated at any B&B anywhere! And the food she prepares we have never seen replicated anywhere either. One day was croissant French toast with blueberry syrup, bacon, and hashbrowns; next day was eggs Benedict; Next day was quiche with bacon and sausage and cheese. And every day you get a beautiful muffin plus yogurt and fruit plus juice plus coffee – it's the kind of meal that will allow you to skip lunch and just wait for dinner. Our room is on the second floor and had a small balcony off the bedroom. It was obviously renovated and decorated with great care and taste. Actually, the entire house is decorated with interesting objects and is just plain fun to visit. It's truly a reflection of Elaine's effervescent personality. She's the kind of person you would want to have come and decorate your house. The only downside to the property is that it is not air-conditioned although she does provide fans in all the rooms and at night, even in the summer, the air temperature during our stay was in the high 50s so this wasn't a problem. But I'm sure it's on her "to do" list one of these days. We have been totally spoiled for the kind of treatment and breakfast that we received at this B&B. It has not been equaled since we left there and probably will not be equalled the remainder of your trip. I can't recommend this place highly enough – it was truly the highlight of our stay in PEI. Make reservations in advance so as not to miss this unique B&B. If I could give this place six stars on trip advisor I would!!

We booked 2 but stayed 3 nights !!

A welcome drink was offered and we were already chatting with the hosts in their cosy lounge for an hour!

Elaine is a super energetic lady and spoiled us with macarons and other goodies.
The breakfasts were excellent and changed every day.

As is often the case in B&Bs the rooms were somewhat on the smaller side but very well equiped as was the case in the rest of the house: coffee, tea, information, ...
Also the whole house is very nicely decorated and the guest can use the different rooms to sit and relax. The views are superb and the location is so quiet.

Elaine even puts out the flag of her visitors country but as we were the first Belgians we caught her on that one!

Rogers Island was the perfect last stop on our tour of Nova Scotia and PEI.

The house is beautifully decorated and the rooms are very well appointed, its in a nice location and the host (Elaine) is absolutely lovely.

The owners are in an adjacent property and on the first night of our 2 night stay we where the only guests so it was like having a spacious home away from home!

We loved breakfast, Elaine accommodated fussy eaters very well, was helpful and gracious and gave us great recommendations for local eatery's and places to see.

If we go to PEI again we would return without hesitation.

The property doesn't have air conditioning - this was not an issue for our late August stay but may be a consideration if you travelled here in warmer weather.

Its a rural location so the internet is on a DSL hook up, this means its not the fastest WiFi ever but it really doesn't detract from the beauty and enjoyment of staying here.

This is the example of how to do it right. The house is delightfully furnished and and cozy with a lovely verandah to sip your wine as the sun goes down. Elaine is an artist in her design and attention to details. Breakfasts are gourmet, her delight in the oohs and aahs she gets from her guests an obvious pleasure to her. Our room was charming and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom has a nice shower unit and no detail for guests comfort is overlooked right down to nightly chocolates and bottled water.
The location is central to Prince Edward Island and we had no problem getting to any point of the island. The nearest town, Kensington is two miles away and on Route 2, the main highway that crosses the island from one end to the other.
We intend to go back and I thoroughly recommend this perfect B & B.

There was not a detail missed by our host Elaine. A great room, nicely decorated and a really delicious breakfast of Eggs Benedict. Elaine has thought of everything - water, chocolates, a welcome glass of wine and even eyeglass cleaning wipes. Our room had a private balcony and the bathroom, although small appeared to be newly upgraded and decorated. The town of Kensington is a short 10 minute drive away where we enjoyed a good dinner at the pub. A great stay for our last night on the island.

A beautiful spot, quiet and charming. The innkeeper Elaine, has thought of everything to make you feel comfortable and at home--lovely bed linens, fluffy white towels and she greets you with wine and cheese after you've settled in. Her breakfasts are absolutely delicious and beautfully presented. She was very helpful with ideas for things to do, and we just wish we could have stayed longer!
