If you don't have your own vehicle it probably is not a good idea to stay here. There's no public transport you will have to call taxi to go anywhere, it will be too far to walk to anything. There's no shops/restaurants/bars within walking distance. This is a great place if you just want to relax. The room is small... More

Great place, a short drive from town. Rooms are small but so nice and well organised! Didn't have much contact with the staff, but when I spoke to the lady at reception she was very helpful. The pool is lovely and the setting extremely relaxing.

Wonderful facilities and room with all the comforts, but Front office staff needs help. Inflexible and not accommodating and not what I would have expected in a boutique hotel, kept complaining that they are a small operation but really they need help in simple public relations and how to speak to people Swimming pool has stupid hours 9.30am to 8pm... Basically an upmarket cabin that you can find at just about every caravan park these days. For the price it was definitely disappointing. The room is a very small especially if it is raining and you cannot use the balcony. It was a little grubby as well with lots of dust and a stuff built up between the bed bases... More

Loved it, really relaxed. Staff awesome, sorry forgot her name, suggestions were spot on. Cool room, loved how private it was. Jets in the communal spa didn't work but not a massive deal, was still hot. Got a $50 brekkie voucher which was great, breakfast was yummy and the view amazing.

We've stayed at Azabu twice now and always try to get a last minute deal when we are in the Byron Bay area. The rooms are lovely - they have beautiful views of the forest and ours had a spa. Azabu is away from the main part of town so it is nice and quiet but it is also only... More

Azabu was a beautiful place to stay for a night as we passed through Byron. It was away from the noisy part of town and enabled us to have a wonderful nights sleep. Waking to the birds was lovely. The breakfast was exceptional and very satisfying. Thank you for the omelette and fruits ...having breakfast on our deck was lovely.... More

Only 5 minutes drive from Byron Bay town, tucked away in a wooded paradise, you could be anywhere The silence punctuated only by birds calls and the rustling of a bush turkey The room wasn't massive but it didn't need to be, as you felt part of the trees and forest, waking up and seeing the tree tops was quite... Azabu is a 4.5 star looking place but has a 1.5 star feel and is not all its hyped up to be. We were greeted with politeness but the relaxed feel went out the door quickly after we arrived. We were told "you can use the pool, but it's really cold. You can use the spa, but don't turn the... More
