Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Goodness, where do I start? Magmell Town House - from the outside you would hardly know it was a hotel? Bed and breakfast? Not sure what it is and I'm not sure that they know either. Our bedroom looked impressive- fairly recently decorated I'd say, with a large walk-in shower room, king size bed, large tv. However, almost immediately, all was not as it seemed. There was no loo roll holder, no towel rail, no bath mat and no hooks for towels or bathrobes. We discovered the room had only been half cleaned, the bed looked clean but then we realised it was just the duvet – the pillows and sheets were grubby from a previous occupant. The fridge contained a half-drunk bottle of wine and the coffee machine was full of dirty coffee pods and dirty water. When we went to complain to the bar over the road (the landlords) they gave us a complimentary meal which was a nice touch but then on our return, we discovered the key card didn't work and needed reprogramming. Then we explored the rest of the building to discover it is a half finished building site. The downstairs areas being covered in dust sheets, French doors leading to the garden did not have a lock on and could have been opened by anyone, piles of rubble outside and what is clearly an unfinished building works to the rear. No idea whether breakfast was included as there was no information about it – indeed there was no information about anything – no Wi-Fi code, no welcome note, no local information. All in all, a very mysterious place - unfortunately I can't say I would recommend it.

OMG, quite possible the most strangest place I have ever stayed. Firstly stood outside the rain for 10 minutes trying to get answer from front door - none came and none ever would as it is completely empty.
Went to Germaine's to get key, Came back with lovely staff member Amber, key didn't work. Left outside i cold whilst she hurriedly went back to get another key. In we went, key to bedroom wouldn't work - quite possible because the batteries back of door were held in with card and cellotape!
Our 'Garden View' was the roof of an extension with two large gas bottles lying under our window with no security. No toilet roll holder, no towel rail or dressing table. No where to put anything except 4 hangers. To top it all no hot water for shower in the morning.
They are trying hard with the wine and crisps etc but no point having those things if the basics are missing.

Very poor extraordinary communication via e mail text or via Booking.Com. Owners very unresponsive which made check in very stressful indeed. Back of our room outlook was a pile of rubble although quiet apart from neighbours playing loud TV into early hrs.. No towel rail or Bath mat in bathroom. For the price would have expected more and most definitely more from the owners in replies which were non existent.
