Based our Music Festival here. EVERYTHING perfect and owners superb. They accommodated all our needs and went beyond the call of duty when needed. We recommend this hotel to others who need a base for any group activity

We chose to stay here because of previous good feedback. We were delighted with our decision. Nice clean rooms, fabulous views of the mountains from the garden, good food and reasonable prices in the restaurant. Best of all the English owners could not have been more helpful. The locals obviously realise this too as the majority of diners were French....

We stayed one night. It was good value for money and my room had a wonderful view of the Pyrenees just like their website promised. The owners were very friendly and gave excellent service. Only one negative point - the neighbouring property (20 metres across other side of car park) had some very fierce guard dogs that seemed free to...

We were very pleased to read that the reviewers were very happy with their stay here but we feel that we must clarify the comment concerning our neighbours dogs. These are not at all fierce guard dogs, but very friendly pets and they are not allowed to roam freely around. They do however bark excitedly if anyone walks very close...

We had booked an overnight stay at the Auberge du Balestie as part of our motorbike trip down from Calais to Barcelona. And although in the end we were unable to stay at the Auberge du Balestie due to transportation issues I wanted to post a quick review of my excellent experience in dealing with David. I originally found details...

We stayed just one night en route to Carcassonne. David couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. Our room should have had a view of the Pyrenees but there was low cloud on the mountains, sadly. The room was very basic and in need of a make-over and we found the bed very uncomfortable with a dip in the middle...

David and Sylvia are great hosts they always find time to talk to you and make sure everything is ok. We had a wonderful view from our room of the Pyrennes and the countryside close...

This hotel in in an awesome location with an incredible view of the mountains. I had never heard of Mirepoix and was simply looking for a place close to Carcassonne when I found Auberge du Balestie on the web. Turns out Carcassone took half a day, while Mirepoix and the surrounding areas took my breath away for 4 days. Add...

I have traveled extensively over the last 30 years, and have stayed in many places including 4 and 5 star hotels, but Auberge du Balestie provided me with my best experience ever. The hosts Dave and Sylvia are wonderfully warm and friendly, and were always ready to help. The rooms are comfortable and well serviced, the restaurant was great, and...

This beautiful hotel with stunning views of the Pyranees is excellent. The English owners are extremely friendly and incredibly helpful. The food in the restaurant is outstanding and all freshly home-cooked in the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the setting for this Auberge is perfect. Altogether an excellent place to stay in this beautiful countryside.
