we loved our stay in the castle hostel! the grounds were beautiful, and inside was quite nice too. modern bathrooms, big kitchen and dining room, den with pool table. we stayed in a private room but dorms are available as well. not too pricey but a little more than a regular hostel. the owner was very nice. it is about...

This Castle was a very pleasant surprise. The grounds were lovely and clean. The people we met were so nice and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our dorm room was clean and the beds very comfortable. We did have trouble finding the Castle even with our GPS system. After about an hour of driving in circles, we stopped and...

My boyfriend and I rented a car and drove across Ireland for 1 week. It was all in all wonderful experience - places, people, basically everything about Ireland - we love you Ireland!! To conclude our trip, we decided to stay at this castle hostel for our last night in Ireland. It was a bit hard for us to find...

Stayed here in April and it was quite cold, but we were cozy enough in the dorm with the space heaters. Make sure you have food with you othewise its a drive into the next town. The castle is amazing as is its history. The place was clean and comfortable. What more could you want from a hostel? I would...

Enjoyed our stay here. Cold night in April. No heat but space heater kept us warm on bottom bunks. Beautiful morning. Spacious kitchen, neat dining hall, beautiful grounds. Hostess and dog were very friendly. Very intriguing for this middle-aged woman!

A great place to unwind, and an amazing experience in every way. It's not every day you can stay in an 800 year old castle for $25 a night. It is a little far from things, but if you're looking to relax or you've rented a car this is perfect. Huge kitchen and it's really clean.

This is a cracker we place, and can't be bad for £10/15euro per person, per night. Its a gorgeous location and there's a free pool/lounge room near the bottom of the castle. One word of warning though. As the bunks are on the top floor of the castle, make sure you go to the loo before going to bed! The...

We stayed here becuase we loved the idea of staying in a castle. It was certainly exciting to do that but we had a few problems. One, we had booked the reservation for a twin room and apparently there is a dispute between the owner of the hostel and the An Oige association that does its booking and the owner...
