Disappointed that we couldn't get a meal as arrived 5 mins late for lunch service. 8 people buying lunch - you'd think would be worthwhile keeping the kitchen open a little longer. The $6 toastIe made with "plastic cheese" was a disappointing substitute for a hearty counter meal. Given that woods point is so remote, it might be worth the...

Unfortunately, I came in too late to try a meal, but I had a great sleep in a clean and comfortable room, then breakfast on the verandah watching the summer mountains. For the old-world country pub experience, it was a 5.

I rode my bike to Woods Point and had dinner in the hotel. It was a great venue, great atmosphere, friendly staff and good value for money. An interesting group of locals and miners that welcome visitors.

a great place to stop on a cold and snowy day, wood fire burning , a glass of brandy or claret adds to the atmosphere, as well as warms you up. take a stroll around the tiny town, feel the pioneer gold and logging days.

After reading reviews maybe some people should have a little bit more respect for others and not think it's all about them! I found the staff to have that little town hospitality warm and friendly. Stayed 1 night food was good old pub meals might not look pretty but tasted just as good as Nanna's. Keep up the great work...

Great place to get back to nature. They turned on snow, country pub meals, Tear **** Port, cold beer, electric blankets, and mini golf. Lots of placed to visit in the 4WD. Authentic Aussie experience. Take plenty of warm clothes, and your sense of adventure.

2 hour wait for food, in which time the staff told us to "shut your children up as people can hear them". We tried to speak with the publican who told us he "should have kicked us out when our children woke him up at 6 pm"? Never have we experienced such offensive behaviour from a business owner, let alone...

I had the pleasurer of staying at this wonderful old Pub again for the third time. The host Tania again made me and I would imagine all her guests feel like family. This old Pub is part of the gold rush days of the town and has all the charm from those times. The whole main street is old world...

This was the 2nd time I had taken a large 4WD group to stay at the Woods Point Hotel and we had pretty much booked out the entire accommodation. They were very helpful from the first email to the subsequent phone calls as I am rather fussy when it comes to securing the hotel and then pre-allocating all the rooms....

“I like all rooms so far. The beds are a tad hard however we do bring a memory foam underlay with us now.”
  • The view from the other end of town is a must see view. Well worth the drive on the dirt road.

“Book early to secure the ensuite rooms.”

“Many of the rooms have many single beds to accommodate dirt bikers who stay at the pub. Not too many double rooms so if you want one book early. Walls are thin.....it is an old pub so this is part of the charm.”
