Oh my heavens, this place is bad. It was a nice idea to be so secluded at such a starkly beautiful location, but this was a terrible place to stay. Our stop was a one-night as part of the Intrepid Travel "Majestic Peru" tour. In addition to the isolation, we had to pay for the food (which was not inexpensive...

Stayed here for one night as part of an Intrepid tour. I expected it to be terrible after reading all of these reviews, but was actually pleasantly surprised. The rooms were fine- I had no issue with them, they were clean and fairly standard. Yes the location is the middle of nowhere but it's lovely. It's right on the beach...

Went there as a part of an Intrepid tour. In the middle of absolutely no where. The location on the beach is lovely, and the Inca ruins nice to wander thru. They stuck us on the top level. No TV or internet, which is not a big deal. Another group member requested another room, as their shower was moldy. There...

Not somewhere I would choose to stay but we were forced to stay here due to the highway being blocked for several days due to miners protests. In the middle of no where... No phone or Internet and really not much to do. The view is nice but that is about it. The beds are awful and the food and...

Hotel Puerto Inka is in one of the most perfect locations in Peru: you have to take a dirt road from the middle of nowhere on the panamerican highway, and little by little you get to a small inlet of the Pacific Ocean. This place is supposed to be packed in summer, but it was pretty deserted in May. This...

This is one of my favourite places in all of Peru. You exit the highway and drive down a dirt road to a hotel in a very small bay. You may not even notice the Inca ruins as you enter. You'll find a simple but clean hotel. It has excellent views, a nice open-air restaurant and pool. It's about this...

We were in a group of 10 travelling around Peru and Intrepid put us here for 1 night. You have no alternative to eating in this "hotel" and it was ordinary, but with no ill effects as reported by others. The local ruins are interesting and the beach setting is good, although nothing spectacular. On face value this could well be...

I spent three weeks in Peru and traveled part of the time with a group. I think we stayed here because there wasn't anywhere else to stay in the area, but it was terrible. Our tour group were the only people staying there, and apparently, we were a mighty inconvenience to the staff. My room mate and I (two women)...

My girlfriend and I hit the road for a 2 day getaway after we heard a few positive comments of friends and the really good pictures online. Since most beaches on Peru's Pacific Coast are similar, we were hoping for something really spectacular after all that hype. We were also hoping for amazing facilities. But none of these were worth...
