There is no such thing as a cheap luxury resort in the Maldives this time of year. When I walked around being a bit critical of this and that, I was also recalling that was the price of the low-end resort - at 500-600 USD per night in the water villa! We stayed in the water villa. It was exactly...

Just spent 5 nights with my 9-year old son at Thulhagiri. We stayed in a water villa and is was so worth it. To wake up and jump directly into the water was amazing. I looked at the beach bungalows as well and they have recently been renovated and look really nice, but the air right by the beach is...

I have visited Thulagiri more than 18years back and what a delight it was to visit it again last week and see that the same breathtaking nature was as is , hardly untouched. the recently renovated villas are just perfect. the Birds of paradise, that are in their hundreds, just add the needed touch to make you believe that you...

The Thulhagiri island with white sands was simply breathtaking. It has recently been renovated and water villas were simply breathtaking. We stayed at water Villa no. 230 which was close to coral reefs and hence had a terrific time snorkelling. The food was awesome and the staff very friendly.

Hotels in Maldives are in my opinion "unreasonably expensive", so the choice of the hotel for my stay was very hard! You really need to make up your mind and understand what you are looking for: good diving, wonderful sea, good accommodation or also a great SPA, huge choice of facilities and sports? I only had 5 nights to spend...

Don't go there. The resort is in a very bad condition, staff is very unfriendly and food there is terrible. I have done scuba diving and snorkeling. The often recommended house reef is 95% dead. While diving I was collecting plastic bags and bottles. the kitchen staff reused the food from the day before. Food options are the same every...

Take a water bungalow. Excelent reaf! Restaurant is fine. You get a same table for all time stayed there. Main city nothink special and no alcohol drinks. Regulation regardin this is verry stricly. Snorkeling is a must.

We arrived to Maledives from Kuala Lumpur around 11 pm. We stayed one night in reserved accomodation and we arranged pick up from airport to our island in the afternoon hours the next day. We decided to check out Male. We were greeted by warm weather, humid conditions and lots of busy islanders. We went to check Male, saw the...
