We spent 10 days in Kuri Inn and we felt welcomed and pampered by all the team, like in a family. Since when we arrived the staff satisfied every request we had and they gave the extra mile to suprise us with special attentions everyday (preparing our meal late in the afternoon after we finished our diving classes, making special...

Fantastic place, far better than the luxurious and unaffordable stuff you find in the Maldives. It was quite tricky to find the boat to the island but the locals in Male were very kind and showed me where to catch it. Important since there is only one a day! Since it was low season I practically had the place for...

I'd begin by saying I actually met Olga (who has left a 1 star review) during my July stay, and I didn't experience the same grief she reports here. And honestly, I grabbed a bit of snorkelling gear on my first day and used it for the week without paying anything. The Maldives is an expensive country compared to neighbouring...

Spacious, clean room but suffer a smell from furniture or wet weather. As many others have commented. The food is generous in amount and delicious. For the price, it's not cheap but still not so expensive.

The island: Compared to close islands like Mahibadhoo (the capital of Ari Atoll) or Dhangethi this island has nothing: No bank, no souvenir stores, no possibility to buy sunblock, no cafés, no SIM card pop up, almost nobody speaks English. Literally Nothing. Women stare at you (but avoid eye contact) judging your looks any time you pass by. Not welcoming...

Very nice guest house on a small island with an excellent beach. I stayed there for 3 nights. Absolutely loved that place. The room is huge, comfortable, clean, air-condition and even has mini fridge to chill your drinks. Ishmael, guest house manager, is so friendly and welcoming. Despite being the only guest on the island, he was able to help...

Omadhoo is possibly the best residential island to stay near Male. We went to three residential islands near Male. Omadhoo white beach is stunning one. Kuri Inn to the beach is very near by - the island is small. Easy to get around. The guesthouse manager, Ishmael is very helpful - he has a sense of humour, too! Cooks are...

I stayed here for 5 nights and I loved this place. The staff here is kind, friendly and helpful, and believe me, they had to put up with a lot of insufferable people while I was here for 5 nights. The rooms are basic, but again, you're not at an overpriced resort. There are 3 properties all close to each...

Good value for the rooms, the manager is very nice and obliging, always advising guests considering their best interest. A very nice sincere guy. Food is really good. Beautiful beaches on the island, a very small island that will enable you to walk around it in 30 mins. Unfortunately, not a very friendly island, locals are very particular about dressing...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The guest house "Kuri", has a laid-back feeling with a cozy, secluded patio, comfortable hammocks in the shadows of the palm trees and lounge chairs for sunbathing - and the beach just less than a minute's walk away. The guest house kitchen offers local and European cuisine in the outdoor dining area. As in most of the Eastern countries, friendly relation and good welcome are more valued than signed papers and stamped documents. And most important, perhaps, is a mutual respect for each other. Respectfully, we ask you, too dear, guests, to follow and respect those traditions, which historically hold by Maldivians. On residential islands cannot drink alcohol, and for the ladies being on the public areas as well when sunbathing and swimming, shoulder and hips need to be covered. These rules, of course, do not belong to the nearby uninhabited islands, where guests are free to relax as they want. Except that, we ask you not to forget about the cleanliness of the unique nature of the area and not to destroy it, leaving the garbage. There are 4 comfortable rooms, each with private bathroom and WC facilities, AC, ceiling fen and mini-fridge, a spacious common lounge area with library, comfortable sofas and Wireless Internet connection. The "Kuri Inn" guest house is situated in the picturesque fishing village of Omadhoo in the heart of Ari Atoll, a clean and friendly local island. In contrast to the major resorts, on Omadhoo you have the opportunity to experience the real Maldives island life and traditions. General Information The island is about 3 sq. kilometers with under 1000 residents. Maldivians are reluctant to leave the territory of its atolls, so islands like Omadhoo have fully preserved the ancient way of life and traditions of its nation, carefully passed down from generation to generation. The house reef surrounding the island is pure and innocent with great live corals and amazing marine life, perfect for s norkeling and scuba diving. The island's southwest beach side ends with an extraordinary, beautiful sand narrow. Almost 60 % of the island is covered with tropical vegetation such as breadfruit and coconut palms. The western part of the island could be called a real 'jungle' due to a rich abundance of large, banyan trees and tropical palms. ... more   less
