Really unique and lovely hotel. Huge hotel with stunning gardens and great staff. The onsen on the roof overlooking Mt Fuji on a clear morning is worth the visit alone. The hotel is way away from everything, but has everything you could need. I wish we stayed an extra night.

Coming off the train, the hotel provided a complimentary driver to pick us up. He also offered to take us to local restaurants and shrines. When we arrived, a nice lady gave us a tour of the hotel and made us tea. Our room was a typical ryokan style, with low tables, tatami floor, kotatsu, etc. We booked massages, which...

Stayed over for a few days. This ryokan is in a large compound. Generally very well-maintained with mostly locals. It is quite a distance from Fujisan station so a shuttlebus by the hotel is provided. The staff at the front desk are pleasant but a little stiff perhaps due to the language barrier. My stay was in a western room...

Very large resort style ryokan hotel which is excellent. We stayed in one of the rooms with its own private Onsen bath and a great view of Fuji-san. Room was spacious and comfortable. Outside bath was impressively large. Dinner was in a private room and was very good. Usual style of food and presentation but the young lady looking after...

This place has the perfect balance of ryokan and hotel ambience with beautiful garden and excellent plus friendly staffs. Room is nice, spacious and has a big private Onsen. We can see beautiful Mt.Fuji and garden from our room and Onsen. I recommend the open air Onsen on the 10th floor that has direct view of Mt. Fuji. On a...

I put hotel in quotation marks because this place is LEAGUES above any hotel I have ever been to so I feel it a disservice to call this place a hotel. Absolutely the BEST experience I have ever had at a hotel, PERIOD! Amazing! It was definitely the highlight of our trip and that's saying something considering our trip was...

This was a highlight of our trip to Japan. We travelled from Tokyo and stayed one night to enjoy a traditional Ryokan and Onsen experience. We had a room with our own outdoor bath and a view at Fuji which was a bit pricey but worth all of the money. The staff is incredible, the kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast...

We selected this hotel because of a Japanese friend's recommendation. We book a Yuraku Japanese room with Mt. Fuji view and a private bath. This is our first experience of staying in a Japanese room and we love it. The experience started from pick-up service at the train station. We were early for check in and we were suggested to...

This is the largest modern ryokan we've ever stayed in, and that has its advantages. First, their nightly free show with the man-size drums was just amazing, my boys love watching that video over and over. And their enormous garden, which heads into the hills over a bridge, was spectacular. They even built a western cathedral in the garden for...
