This was our 6th stopover during our Namibian road trip. Matunda is perfectly situated from which to explore Etosha. We had stayed in some stunning lodges and complexes up to this point however Matunda is different in that it is a working farm. Michel, the owner is also the cook, barman, raconteur and all round human Dynamo. His food is...

Staying with Michael at matunda was like staying with good friends. He is so welcoming and considerate of your every need and makes sure that you are happy at all times. The accomodation was prfectly clean and adequately comfortable and private which was great. Michael cooks for his guests too and each meal was a wonderful treat and more than...

Michael is a very friendly and funny host from Germany who has built up a very beautiful place where you feel immediately at home. The wild Kudus in his "backyard", his easy going dog and adorable three year old son made our stay even more interesting and fun. The absolute highlight was the dinner which Michael prepares himself with outmost...

We stayed at Matunda Guest Farm on our way back from Etosha Pan to Windhoek. The eco friendly guest farm and its nice garden with olives, lemons and - on our visit - freshly cut palm trees is a great place to relax and to enjoy the beauty of Namibia (plus a refreshing pool). The home-made food was delicious and...

The pathways, huts and the water make use of solar energy. The huts are strewn around the property in a green landscape. They are simple, functional, very clean and tastefully furnished, There is a...

We stayed here as part of our African Trip. We chose the Matunda Guest farm out of a Namibia guesthouse magazine. After talking to Michael over the phone and booking a 3 night stay, we arrived there with no expectations. As soon as we got there, Michael gave us a welcome drink of freshly squeezed grapefruit from his farm, and...
