It's a treat to find a small independant establish doing things well. My room was spacious and well laid out with good views over the garden. The gardens are extensive and well maintained, providing plenty of fresh ingredients for the kitchen. The staff were friendly. There was a good selection for breakfast Dinner is also very good, well presented tasty... More

We came for a wedding and it is the perfect venue. The drinks were fab, the food was exquisite and the attention to detail was brilliant. The staff were very attentive to all guests and everything was seamless. We got married here 6 years ago and even though they now do more weddings, the person touch has not been lost.... More

I booked this hotel at the last minute for my boss and a colleague as we were desperate to get a hotel around this area but most were full. What a gem. Both boss and colleague thought it was one of the best hotels they have ever stayed in, and they stop in a lot of them over the year... More

We have been visiting Goldstone Hall on and off for nearly 10 years. The food is always excellent, staff very welcoming and accommodating and bedrooms well appointed. This was as good as ever. We shall return again soon.

I visited Goldstone Hall Hotel for champagne afternoon tea and was not in the slightest bit disappointed. The hotel is beautifully situated and very quiet. It is a small hotel, so if you are looking to relax, as I did, this is the place to go. The staff were very polite and mannerly with excellent service skills. The food was... More

As with most Country House hotels, rooms are all different so this review is of Room 14. This is a ground floor room (I don't do stairs and, again as with most Country House hotels, no lift). Spacious, with character, well lit, comfortable double bed (soft bouncy type not the hard firm type - four poster if you care about... More

We had a family event there which didn't go smoothly. We were promised with a wide selection of meals without any restriction and then one day before the event they told us that only one type of menu will be served. When we were complaining, they changed it to 2 options but they pulled out the expensive meats from the... More

Thank you for this review. We have previously explained that we think that Trip Advisor is a force for the good in hospitality but that this forum in the main should be left for our guests to pass their comments without intervention from ourselves. Our own expectation of Goldstone’s delivery is that it should be either Excellent or Very Good.... More

We recently attended our friends wedding at Goldstone Hall, all I can say is wow, what a venue. Fantastic staff, fantastic place, comfortable and exclusive rooms and the food was out of this world. I had the best beef fillet I have ever tasted. A must for anyone wanting a relaxing night away or considering their wedding.

Ystäväni järjesti upeat perhejuhlat Goldstonessa, what a party it was! Upeat puitteet, ystävällinen henkilökunta ja tunnelmallinen puutarha sekä kauniisti koristeltu juhlateltta suoraan kuin elokuvista. Great friendly atmosphere and beautiful rosegarden made familyparty just perfect.

A month of so ago, I visited Goldstone hall with an old friend for afternoon tea. They appeared busy with a wedding, but the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive to our needs and settled us in their splendid front room.
