Mauritania was the end of our 1 month honeymoon trip and we arrived in Atar from Choum after the adventure of the iron ore train (a lifetime experience!) I previously booked our stay with Just and Cora and we already had a good contact. It's important to say that Just is not the typical hotel runner so long story short:...

Our experience at Bab Sahara was up and down. Just, Bab's owner, was a bit rude from the beginning, which set the tone for our visit. Great ambiance at this interesting auberge. While it may not be very large, the owners have created several little "hang out" areas around the site, lending themselves to intimate conversations with friends old and new. Bab Sahara is a well equipped camping-site on the edge of the city of Atar. It is an ideal place to start from to explore the Sahara.
