In July of 2016 we stayed with the Rimba Eco Lodge for a 4day/3 night stay, after spending four nights at Flora Homestay just down the river. We are very pleased that we had did both for a comparative Borneo jungle experience. Both places are treasures, and give a complimentary perspective. The lodge was our home by night and the...

Our time at the Rimba Ecolodge was truly special, as we felt so lucky to have the experience of getting so close to the Orangutans at a time when their forests are in jeopardy. Our captain, chef on our river boat, and our tour guide, Ohan, went out of their way to make our time on the river boat and...

We greatly appreciate your comments about our Rimba Orangutan Eco Lodge especially your emphasis on the education aspects of our lodges in particular local employment giving sustainable jobs depending on the forests and the vital role of our guests in this process. The huge struggle for the survival of the orangutans at Tandjung Puting will continue and our company is...

A much belated review but neverless sincere. We visited in May for three nights and had a super time with Eko as our guide. We visited Malaysian Borneo a few years ago to see Orang-utans and were disappointed with the experience but here is was wonderful. We never expected to get so close to them and we will never forget...

This is a great place in the jungle. The whole complex is on stilts. We stayed in the Diamond room. We are impressed that we have: running warm water, shower, and flush toilet. (We did not expect too much given the environment.) We had a three-day tour and we are extremely happy with what we did and what we saw...

Thank you for your comments. Your comments re our food will be studied regarding the amount and variation. We should advertise more that we can cook western style food but we do specialise in local food dishes. Thank you for your support and your comment we are in the right direction; assume you mean environmentally.

Our family started a 3 week Indonesia vacation with a package of 3N/4D in Rimba Eco lodge. The booking was done directly with the lodge and that went fine. We hesitated for a few weeks between the 2 options: book a Klotok and sleep on the boat vs. the Rimba lodge. In the end, for us, the comfort of sleeping...

Thank you for your observations on your stay, they are very helpful. We are slowly improving the facilities at the lodge eg 24/7 electricity due to our new solar power system and will continue to do so. We are finding the combination of one or two nights sleeping on one of our boats + two nights at the lodge is...

Very nice eco-lodge in the middle of the jungle. Rooms are really very spacious and so is the bathroom, common areas are also really nice, everything was clean and in perfect working order. You truly have the jungle at your doorstep, so it could be a lifetime experience if you never did something like camping etc. Think twice if you...

The cook on the boat Rimba King, Agis prepared food of of restaurant quality . Nothing was too much trouble. I took a group of six well seasoned travellers and all were impressed. Rimba Lodge is located in the heart of Tanjung Puting National Park, a fantastic place to experience orangutans in their forest habitat.
