I booked a room at Marina Mamberamo Hotel for one night. At the arrival I could not believe the condition of the room I observed! Windows would not close, noise, filthy bedding, just awfully run down place. I was shown an alternative room, where toilet had not been cleaned since last check out and still had debris from previous guests. Hotel declined to refund my money. I run from that horrible place. Do not consider staying at this. Hotel anyone. Reviews on line are incorrect.

Nice good clean simple hotel with 24 hour FnB services, Free Internet WiFi, 24 hour Room Service, 60 Channel Satellite TV and so on... Just a short walk away where you can find all sort of local delicacy. Also with a beautiful sun rise view at the bay....

The hotel was very basic. The front desk staff was great. The restaurant had decent food but the service was very slow (1 hour for lunch when we were the only ones?) WiFi worked, albeit slowly. The sheets were clean and the sink and toilet were clean. The rest of the room and bathroom were not very clean. When you need to stay one night prior to leaving for Raja Ampat, it is sufficient, but bring earplugs. It is right on the main road and the scooters and taxis are constant sources of noise.

we stayed here twice, once a short stay in the morning to catch up on our sleep and the second a day after our resort stay. the rooms were clean, tidy and the bed was comfortable. The food in the restaurant was fine, but the delay to get our meals was quite long. The price for the rooms was reasonable.

A decent place to stop over before your flight/ferry. Breakfast spread Is not bad, the eggs we had were nice. They have a bar and some lounging area too, good enough for 15-20 people. Rooms are decent with all important amenities. Staff is courteous and they have free Wifi

I spend one night here. The restaraunt was better than average and did a good job, and the WIFI worked quite well throughout the facility. I had a room facing the main road which was very noisy, and should be avoided, room ok not big, and location not far from the airport.

We stayed here for a few hours on our transit to and from Raja Ampat. We felt very welcome using the lounge facilities and Wifi. Unfortunately the ladies toilet facilities in the general use area, while looking clean - smelt atrocious. Otherwise it was very nice.

This represents everything that the tourist attempts to avoid in West Papua. The locals call it “So Wrong” for a reason. The beneficiary of Government money, it’s the Wild West town of the region. Nothing glamorous but it is the entry point to West Papua. The Marina Mamberamo Hotel is where the army generals stay so it is often booked out. It represents the best accommodation in town but be warned, rooms are so small, you cannot fit two people and luggage in them. As well, ask for the rooms not facing the road as the WP still drive on their horns. Ask for a bigger room, it’s one where you will appreciate the extra spend. The big plus, best food in town so eating there at night is convenient, good and cheap

We spent 3 nights here and went birdwatching for 2 days before joining a liveaboard boat tpuring Raja Ampat. Hotel is friendly; room small but clean. People do smoke in the corridor outside the lift and in the bar, but our bedroom was no smoking. We only had one small towel supplied and had to ask each day for a second but that wasnt a problem. Food was good; we ate in rather than at the street market opposite which looked less clean than most... The hotel is used as a stopover for airline crew and local groups eat lunch there sp it is busy but not noisy. Better than most places in Sorong!

Nice hotel at a good price, except almost no hot water in the shower. In addition the window leaked during a rain storm. Restaurant was good and prices reasonable. Front desk staff was very helpful. Ask for an ocean view room.
