We have just left here after an unforgettable week with Wanda and Ana and their beautiful children in their lovely house surrounded by rice paddies. We have an 11 and 13 year old and I think they will never forget this week , nor will we - swimming in the river, watching Pele shimmy up a Rambutan tree and Fabio...

You will have an invaluable experience staying with Ana, Wanda, and family. Ana is very hospitable and an excellent cook, Wanda is one of the most knowledgeable guides you can find in the area, and the kids are sweet and a lot of fun. Their English is excellent, so you will not have to worry about language-barriers, and they will...

Wanda and Ana are sincerely the most welcoming people I have come across and this sentiment can be applied to all of their wonderfully dynamic children. Their immeasurable hospitality and their beautiful slice of paradise is something that people should feel privileged to experience and I can't express how much I cherish every second I've spent there. It is close...

We always stay with Ana and Wanda when we go to Bukit Lawang, and now they just feel like family. If you really want to get a taste of Indonesian life, then this is the place to go. It’s a beautiful, large bamboo and wood home over fish ponds in the middle of a lush rice field with spectacular views...

It has been four years since I stayed with Wanda, Ana and their children and I still miss them. It was the first time I had been abroad by myself. I was 19 at the time and they made me feel very comfortable in their spacious home. They are the kindest, most generous family I have ever met. They taught...

Wanda's Homestay is one of those rare jewels for the avid traveler that is separated from loved ones. Over the years I have stayed with Wanda and Ana for good reason. I feel as though my family circle expanded with my first trip to Wanda and Ana's house. Since I travel for both work and pleasure I have found it...

It was entirely a joyful experience staying at Wanda's. It's a homey little inn in a real village with all its simplicity. It was a bit like "make yourself at home" and "experience the local life", and I truly enjoyed it. Wanda and Anna are very warm and friendly, especially Anna is a very lively and nice chit chat friend,...

It was a bridging stay to begin with - my current accomodation had been long prebooked for that weekend but it was arranged that I stay the weekend with Ana and her adorable family- it turned into a major highlight of my journey. The house is simple but very comfortable and beautifully crafted out of local materials. You arent cut...

“The top room (listed as the large room on the website) is perfect to catch sunsets and sunrises as there are two balconies (one on each side of the room) plus windows. In addition, if the kids get up early for school there is little chance that you will be disturbed as you are not on the same floor as them.”

“The top floor room has the most beguiling views from three windows, watching the light colour the landscape into impossible colours from dawn over the padi fields is a breathtaking experience.”
