A simple beach side place to hang out, eat good food for any meal and live the "pura vida". We didn't stay at the hotel, but enjoyed the food for lunch and breakfast! The huevos rancheros and egg sandwich for breakfast were great. The ceviche and burgers were really good for lunch

My family stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time! The kids loved the pool and the smoothies and my husband and I loved the relaxing atmosphere. The managers were really helpful and the beach is beautiful. We went for an early morning bike ride and the beach and were pretty much alone. A wonderful place!

It's right at the beach. You can hear the waves crashing from your bed. I loved it. The drinks that Mark mixes at the bar are great and the food is really good, too. There is a lot of space to hang out, hammocks etc. And the beach is beautiful and huge and not crowded at all with great surf...

We stopped in for our first night in Costa Rica, on our way further south. The water views, beach to walk & run & swim from, good food, and overall super relaxing location made for a great start to our trip. Mike and Diana were welcoming and helpful hosts.

My fiancé, Brian, and I stayed at the Pelicanos Hotel in Esterillos Este for three nights and had a wonderful time. After driving three hours from San Jose, two of those hours in stop and go traffic with a manual car, we were pretty exhausted when we finally arrived. Mikey greeted us warmly and got us all checked in, took...

I recently stayed at Hotel Pelicano for a wedding and had an incredibly lovely time. Mikey and Diana are warm, welcoming hosts and the property is beautiful and relaxing. It takes less than 1 minute to walk to the beach and have your feet in the warm, clear water. You basically just step outside your door and you're there. And...

This is a great place to stay. The owners are very hands on and super friendly. They care about every detail of your stay and go out of their way to make you feel at home It's more on the rustic side than luxury. But that gives you the feel of the country rather than just another hotel. I highly...

I live in Costa Rica, but any time I want to get away for a day or a night, alone, with friends or out of towners, I love going to the Pelicano. From the minute you walk in you feel like you're home. Managers Dianna and Mikey go out of their way to make to make their guests are comfortable....

Relax on the beach or let our staff help you plan a day filled with adventure: zip lines, canopy tours, surfing lessons, waterfall tours, catamaran cruises, mangrove monkey tours, sports fishing, kayaking, horse back riding, massage or yoga classes, and so much more! Afterward, return to our beachfront paradise for the Daily Sunset Happy Hour. Our casual patio restaurant is open 7am until 10pm to serve you breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our varied menu includes the best coconut curry on the planet.
