What a memorable find this was. We stayed here as we were sightseeing and visiting many of the castles in the region and this location worked perfectly coming from Mont. St. Michel to the Loire Valley. As noted by others the owners were truly amazing hosts. Marie spoke great English which was super helpful for us and Joel was immensely...

I don't believe in the commercial Valentines, so took my partner here as a surprise, which just happened to be in mid February! If you are looking for a magical, fairytale and romantic place to stay, then look no further. The hosts are utterly charming and you can see they have a real passion for the building and its preservation....

A true French gem run by Rose Marie and Joel who go out of their way to make it a special stay. Should you get the chance an evening meal is well worth it. Excellent home cooked food served in grand surroundings. The breakfast was equally delicious and a feast for the eyes...try the courgette and ginger jam. Our room...

We recently stayed here in order to attend a wedding in Antrain so it was only a flying visit, unfortunately. What a fabulous find! The house is a gorgeous old manoir that has been lovingly restored and decosrated, and featured a staircase that is over 1000 years old. The room we stayed in at the top of the stairs was...

We were a group of five cycling couples who were welcomed like family by the most hospitable Rosemarie and Joel. Manoir de la Branche is magnificent in so many respects, most already mentioned in other reviews. Our evening meal in the magnificent hall was like a banquet with delicious food beautifully presented and making use of edible flowers from Rosemarie's...

Special thanks to our exceptional hosts, Marie & Joel, who went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome. Marie's culinary skills (with the produce from her beautiful garden) for dinner & the breakfasts, combined with her artistry was a deliciously delightful & filling experience! Top this with Joel's love of history and information about the area with Marie's...

On the way from Normandy to Paris, we just needed a good bed for sleeping, but on arrival we thought we had come to heaven. A fantastic mansion - enormous sized rooms - and luxury decorated rooms. A welcome drink on arrival - and the owners??? Perfect - and so friendly. We just loved the place, and have no problems...

Such a wonderful place and such wonderful custodians. From the moment we arrived until the end of our stay, we were made to feel not merely as valued & welcome guests, but almost part of the family. From reservations in town, to local cider in the sunshine, along with copious information regarding the manoir & this historic locality - even...

I fell in love with this beautiful Manor the moment I saw it! We were greeted by Joel and Rose Marie... so friendly and welcoming. We started with a drink of hard cider and juice shared with the hosts, then a tour of our space for the night. The Manor was built in 1412 and you could tell that they...

First, the minor cons: it IS difficult to find. Please don't even attempt it without a GPS that you know will work in France. Our mobile one had trouble finding the satellite. Thankfully, the rental car came with one, and it was still a challenge, but once you get to the village, you can ask anyone and they all know...
