The rooms were great. Grounds are beautiful, staff is so friendly you turn into family there. Activities plenty. Food was very good. They planned our daily trips to our likes. 2 pools, spa, yoga, tours, hikes. You name it they had or would get you to the site. We were on the all inclusive plan. My husband, me and 2 adult kids. This was our annual family vacation. Everyone had a great time told us it was the best ever. Grounds have all sorts of fruit trees. It was wonderful. Can't express our thanks. Went off season had the place to wonder with no crowds. The staff was there to please and boy they went all out.

Jungle Bay is magnificent. The staff is incredible. They are warm, gracious, and always willing to go the extra mile. The villas are beautiful as well as comfortable. We ate a number of meals in the restaurant. The chef even will make things off the menu. Don’t miss the grilled lobster.

My wife and two dear friends went to Jungle Bay in October 2022. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Everyone was genuinely polite, the food was excellent, and you felt you were family. We took tours everyday and were able to enjoy the beauty of the island. This place should be on everyones bucket list.

If you are looking for beauty, adventure, and wellness, this is the place to go My husband and I stayed for one week. We chose the Adventure Wellness package, which included all meals, daily hikes and activities, daily spa treatments, and daily sunset yoga. If you are looking for a Caribbean island where you can sit on the beach all day and sip rum from a coconut, this is not the island for you. But if you are looking to experience unbelievable hikes, incredible nature, magnificent vistas, and the most friendly and warmest guides, then you should definitely choose this place. The hikes were very challenging, some of them were long and steep, but some of the best hiking I have every done in the world. The guides were so knowledgeable about the local flora and fruit trees growing and they were proud to share their beautiful island with us. We also snorkeled and saw some magnificent fish and some awesome geological phenomena. Ending each day with sunset yoga was meditative and rejuvenating. We do not typically do yoga, but the stretching and guidance of Nancy the yoga instructor was perfect for beginners like us. And very much helped to stretch our sore muscles at the end of each day. The food in the restaurant was delicious and they were easily able to cater to my dietary restrictions of being a gluten free pescetarian. Overall this was one of the most special vacations we have ever taken - Jungle Bay is a unique and special place and really embraces the beauty and nature of Dominica. The owner Mr. Sam Raphael is warm and kind and he makes you feel like he is sharing his home with you, which in fact he is. The staff also embody the same open and welcoming atmosphere.

From the moment I stepped into the resort provided airport shuttle I knew this would be a magical vacation. I was greeted with some fresh guava juice and a huge smile! The driver Keith took his time and gave me the royal treatment as we made our way to the resort, once we arrived I was met by the front desk staff who were equally as amazing. I decided to do the adventure wellness package which included all food, non-alcoholic drinks, excursions, 30 mins of spa treatment and yoga daily…this was 100% the BEST choice. I ate like royalty daily then was whisked off by WeeFee to one of many daring excursions including hiking through the jungle, swimming in a cave that lead to an exotic waterfall, stopping on the side of the road for fried chicken and bakes, taking a swim in a natural fresh water river, being rowed down Indian River and last but not least visiting volcanic hot springs then returning to the resort for my 30 mins spa treatment followed by the BEST yoga on the planet (taught by the resort manager). If you are looking for a peaceful, absolutely gorgeous resort with breathtaking views look no further. Every single staff member including the resort owner made my trip beyond memorial and took the time to go above and beyond to ensure I was safe and had the most memorable Dominica experience ever. Huge thank you to Chef, WeeFee, the manager/worlds greatest yoga instructor, Keith and everyone. I will be returning ASAP!!

Dominica as an isand is a hidden treasure, but if you going to stay at Jungle Bay it will be doubled! We have been there for a long week, had one of villa suites with seaview but there many more villasuites /rooms with excellent view. Spacy , clean and comfortable beds. Fridge for your cold drinks. We missed a coffee/nespresso machine for a tastful cup of coffee , could be recommended, goes also for restaurant. We 've booked package + diving ( @ Nature Island Dive) what makes combination of underwater world and tropical forrest with its hikings a real pleasure. Extra hikings outside this package bit expense, however you will support local community with it.. We did some hikings by our own with some help of staff. Full board included in this package, recommended as high prices @ menu list. Food is good, not excellent, more fish than meat what is of course more eco friendly. Extensive breakfast buffet. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpfully, but that's what we did notice in Dominica in general. Keep in mind that is almost 80 min to /from airport. 20 from ferry.... Jungle bay gets definitely a place in our memory, but we will certainly going back some day!

Great stay at Jungle Bay! The property is beautiful - the views are the best, the property is full of plants, flowers, trees and birds, the staff always were on point helping with outings, wonderful massages, yoga, and meals. Transportation is available by the resort. I could go on - the room with large balcony, the pools, the restaurant, nearby snorkeling, diving, waterfalls, bird watching (plenty to do) — all outstanding.

Returning to an adventure location like Dominica I would typically not return to the same hotel even if I loved the place. Jungle Bay might be an exception. Owned by an intriguing Dominican with an incredible vision, this place is worth returning to. I learned the story of how Sam turned this abandoned Rose’s lime plantation into the resort it is today, employing ~ 100 locals and coordinating with another 100+ growers, fishermen, guides. Sam’s vision to benefit Dominica includes bringing in people to train locals to lead yoga, massage, other aspects of the hospitality industry. Local wood, stone, bamboo, food whenever possible even if he has to grow it. The people who work here love it, stay for years, sometimes move on to start businesses they’ve been trained to do here. Chef Garfield is a creative and flavorful artist! if you visit Dominica, which I recommend, consider staying here.

I loved my time at Jungle Bay. I traveled with a friend and we did the all-inclusive package. It included to/from airport transportation, room, food, excursions, yoga, and a 1/2 hour daily spa treatment of your choice. Transportation: Dominica has crazy topography and crazy roads. I was happy to not have to drive or to get assigned a random taxi driver. Jungle Bay drivers were safe and very careful with all the hairpin turns and hills. They let me sit up front each time since I am prone to motion sickness and I never got sick! The vans are well maintained and cleaned daily, one of the many “attention to detail” aspects of this resort. Rooms: Very clean, spacious, and the walk-in shower is superb. We got daily maid service and came home to a crisply made bed and restocked room. There is a fridge and coffee maker. The bed was a little harder than I prefer but with all the activity during the day I had no trouble getting good sleep. Food: This isn’t your typical all-inclusive buffet style package, it was so much more. Breakfast was indeed a buffet (there was an omelet station but we were gone each morning before it opened), there were plenty of good options with an assortment of hot and cold food, teas, coffee, fresh juices. Lunch and dinner were sit-down and order from a menu. There was no enforced dress code, lucky for us b/c between the excursions, yoga, and spa, we were in yoga pants most of the trip. The food was fresh and made to order. There were vegetarian and vegan options. The head chef, Garfield, made us a special dinner one night, off menu and absolutely delicious. The waitstaff are welcoming and really wanting to make you happy. Excursions: There are daily excursions and we did them all! You just need to sign up the night before and pick your lunch option (yes! They pack you a brown paper bag lunch). The morning of, you just hop in the van and the attentive, knowledgeable, kind guides take you to the most fantastic natural wonders. There are boiling lakes and waterfalls, hot springs and awesome snorkeling. Lots of activity but don’t be intimidated, there are always two guides, one up front and one behind to wrangle the slow pokes. The guides point out the trees and plants and what they are used for by the people of Dominica. They are upbeat and cheerful, concerned with the safety and happiness of guests. Yoga: we lucked out and there was a special yoga retreat happening so yoga was twice a day. It was energetic in the morning and extremely relaxing (I may or may not have fallen asleep a couple of times) in the evenings. There’s a dedicated building for yoga that is beautiful and very peaceful. You hear the birds and nature sounds as you flow through the poses. Amazing. The Spa: Each night Josia gave me the most wonderful massage. She was so kind and attentive and her hands were magic. Just what my body needed after hiking all day. The spa is so tranquil, clean, and inviting. A great way to wind down the day. Extras: The workers at Jungle Bay are wonderful. They are warm and inviting, they are quick with a smile and to help you out. Before we left we had to go around saying our good byes to all our favorites. And they were ALL our favorites. I travel quite extensively and I’m fairly hard to please. Jungle Bay exceeded my expectations in every way. The grounds of JB are pristinely cared for and the kitchen uses herbs and fruits from the property. The pools are divine. The scheduled activities and yoga and spa are arranged in such a way so you can do it all every day. I will note that there is not beach access from the resort, it would be a short drive away. This is not a trip where you lounge around drinking cocktails all day. This place is for the explorer and adventurer who wants to come home to a clean room, healthy fresh food, a refreshing pool and then wind the day down with yoga and a massage.

The jungle bay retreat is a fabulous hotel perched on the southern end of Dominica. The landscape and greenery is magnificent. The local food menu was delicious. Chef Joann is the best at what she does. COOK!!!! Definitely look her up and ask for her by name. She goes out of her way to satisfy your food desires. To the length that she prepared a local fish broth for me. Sam, the owner, is a pleasant person that makes sure you are comfortable. His father was seen walking the grounds and greeting guest at the resturant. The rooms are elegant and very clean. The hotel is approximately 20 minutes from Roseau and next to the sulfur springs. A must visit when traveling to Dominica.
