I spent only one night here. The hotel is approached by boat from the town and is totally secluded on the edge of Lake Vembanad. When I checked in I found that I had been upgraded to a pool villa. This was wonderful: a really spacious villa with a luxury shower room, veranda at the front and a little place...

From the warm welcome to the considerate waving good bye, this was a unique and delightful experience in a unique environment. A quiet and relaxing oasis at the end of a 2 hour drive from Cochin. Our cottage was very comfortable with its unique features, the outdoor bathroom was a great experience. Service excellent as was the tour by the...

it is a fantastic place to spend your holiday especially if one needs a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The best part was there is no tv in the resort to disturb your peace. The open-to-air bathrooms give a different feeling altogether - very close to nature. The only sad part is that the food is very expensive with very less...

This hotel was at the end of a set tour and disappointingly only two nights. Our approach was via the boat trip from Aleppy and ones mind is set to rest as to whether it is acceptable or not as soon as you tie up alongside the island. Best described as a delightful mini Venice set in the country. We...

The staff were fantastic and we enjoyed all the meals. The Ayurvedic spa was also a unique experience. I would recommend avoiding the buffet and sticking to the à la carte option....

We arrived at the airport in Cuchin and we were picked up by our driver – it took us 2 hours to drive from Cuchin to Kumarakom. It was our first trip to India – the ‘organized chaos’ on the road was a bit of a cultural shock. We arrived at the Alleppey Jetty and boarded our boat to Coconut...

Our boat trip from Aleppy to the Coconut Lagoon was the perfect introduction to the resort. We felt that we were slowly distancing ourselves from all the hustle and bustle that is often a traveller's inevitable experience. We were warmly greeted on arrival and shown around the attractive grounds. Our room was spacious and charming for all it's simplicity, with...

The resort arranged us a surprise cake while we were having the dinner. I have to thank the resort management and the team for that. Its kind of wonderful experience in staying this heritage...
