Myself and two close friends visited The Hollybush on the evening of Friday the 8th of October for a meal . What a lovely atmosphere so friendly and welcoming the staff were polite and attentive nothing was to much trouble . We decided to sit upstairs in the restaurant which was very pleasant our waitress was lovely . We decided...

We required a place to stay following visiting Cardiff and we didn't want the corporate chain hotel experience, and we were not disappointed. The welcome at the Hollybush was extremely warm and pleasant. The accommodation is literally 30-40 yards away from the restaurant, in an old cottage, and the room we were allocated was spacious and comfortable. The food we...

We were visiting Cardiff at the weekend (24-25/09) and decided to stay over night somewhere close to our destination. We checked late rooms website and came across a lovely looking The Hollybush. Have to say £50/night compare to Cardiff prices made us very happy. On the arrival staff welcomed us very warmly and nicely showed our room, which was quiet...

We absolutely loved our meals and were so impressed by the food even more so when your only paying £10 for two courses. I hope this offer continues as I'm sure we will be visiting quite often from now on! The pub itself is very cosy and quiet which was great as we had our baby boy with us and...

I stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Get to know Jacky, she is very accommodating and will make you feel at home. The food is really nice, in particular look for the oven hot salt stones and cook your own steak - delicious, also, the 'Red Dragon' cheese is a variety to discover and really enjoy. The...

Hadn't been to the Hollybush Inn for some years. Was suggested by a friend who had been more recently and, although a very a quiet lunch was had (just the two of us) it was pretty good. We both had lasagne with a 'portion' of sweet potato chips (chips were awfully soggy) but the lasagne was good (no parmesan offered)....

Thankyou for your review and comments on trip advisor, We put parmesan cheese on top of our lasagne while cooking and additional cheese is available if requested, The sweet potato fry's are freshly prepared and cooked in house and do not get as crispy as frozen sweet potatoes , please request crispy ones on next visit and we will try...

Went to The Hollybush for a family birthday meal, in the evening. The service was excellent and the food very good. We chose from the 2 course for £1 menu, which you can add to if you want any extras. Everything was served promptly. There is a great patio area outside, which is excellent for a few drinks before your...

Having driven past this gorgeous pub in picturesque for a few years, I'd somehow never got around to stopping. However, a visiting mum and a last-minute decision to eat out for lunch brought us here. Skidding into the car park 1.55, I dashed in to enquire if there was still a chance of eating. Despite their closing time of 2.30,...

Myself and my family attended The Hollybush for lunch with the fixed menu. The location is ok for parking and there is a lovely outside garden area and great for kids to run around. There is also a river running alongside so very picturesque. The food offering was appealing although I didn't see a vegetarian option. I ordered the calamari...
