Excellent host, who was always extremely helpful. Quiet room. Very efficient laundry service. Clean and very nice decorated room & kitchen plus a very nice garden - for me, this was an excellent value

What a perfect stay in Cazihita! Miguel did welcome me with open arms, and did give me many recommendations about the area. First day I did travel around the Lago de Tota, including a visit to Playa Blanca and a local Fiesta in Cuitiva. Second day I hiked on the Paramo, with local guide Maria. I spent three days in the hostal Cazihita and it felt like home. I did stay in the room named Blanca, with private bathroom and it was worth every peso! Muchas gracias Miguel!

It’s a great hostal with a comfortable, quiet vibe and very kind owners. The room with private bathroom (blanca) was spacious, with enough closet space, a comfortable bed & was cleaned every day. Shower was a bit small and not as hot as we’d hoped, but good enough! Kitchen very clean and with everything you could need. Fresh drinking water & coffee & tea provided for free. Living room with reading lights and (not very comfy) couches. Very friendly owners helped us out a lot! Really recommended!

I usually go for the cheap option when staying at hostels so I was hesitant spending more than I usually budget for. However, I was wowed by this place. Really cozy, felt like home (might be a little lonely if you're traveling solo, though). Miguel was welcoming and helpful, giving us ideas and directions for activities. Elsa took us under her wing and showed us all around town, it was like visiting a friend in their hometown even though we had just met. All of the amenities are wonderful (fully stocked kitchen, great bathrooms and SUPER comfortable beds).I would recommend this place without a doubt!!!

I was visiting Sogamoso for 3 nights. The hostal is super clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. You can ask the hosts everything you want to know and they give you a very detailed explanation, f.ex. where to take buses, where to change buses, how to go on a tour in the paramo (must do if you like nature and hiking). Really friendly and welcoming people!

I've been at La Cazihita 3 times and I would return any time. That's a fine, quite, very well situated hostel close to the city centre and shops, cafes etc. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The booking process was always smooth. La Cazihita is a perfect base for trips in and around Sogamoso. I recommend it without hesitation.

Miguel will welcome you as if you are a family friend. The place is clean, homely, and has a small kitchen which is sufficient to cook anything. Coffee is free in the mornings and really good. It's located 2 minutes from the center where you can find local markets, restaurants, and bars and only about 15 min walk from the bus terminal.
