I stayed twice in the Hotel Kualamaná, it's in the Parque CAFAM, which is run by a Colombian insurance company, the park includes various restaurants, a zoo, supermarket, which are all connected by a bus (chiva). The hotel itself has a good selection of amenities: a very nice pool and bar, outside restaurants including a barbecue restaurant, mini golf course,...

For those of you who live (or are) in Bogotá and want to spend some days with a nice warm and tropical climate, Melgar/Tolima is an interesting alternative. It´s about 130km from Bogota and depending on the traffic it might take between 1.5 up to 3 hours. Roads are currently getting improved (2 lane); expect to pay 2 times toll...

This hotel is claimed to be 5* hotel although i would not rate it as 5* hotel at all. I found the bed to be uncomfortable, the pillows were too soft and overused, the sheets also needed to be changed. The bathroom would greatly benefit from the maintanance, it has old style taps.
