The casa is on a quite residential street right next to the central square. We have the room on the ground floor towards the front, so we felt free to come & go without disturbing others. It has a separate sitting area that looks out onto the street. We hung out there one late afternoon watching the neighbourhood kids play....

We had the ground floor room, which needs a bit of an overhaul, that's why I only give 4 out of 5. The paint was peeling from the ceiling (luckily not above our bed) and paint flakes fell on the second bed and the luggage. Not a big deal, but needs mending. Apart from the paint, the ground floor room...

We stayed 4 nights at Ykira’s Casa and would certainly recommend it. Ykira, her brother Alfredo and other members of the family/staff were very hospitable and kind. There was a welcoming committee on the terrace upon our arrival, which was really nice after a long, delayed day of travel and made us feel at home straight away. The breakfasts were...

I stayed 4 nights in the room on top of ykiras casa and it was awesome: the room was clean, spacious and lightful (take a sleeping mask, if you want to sleep longer;)), with a terrace in front. You can also use the kitchen and the roof- terrace. The house is located only two minutes from the lively Center of...

We had dinner twice at Ykira's casa, but unfortunately we did not stay there as the rooms were fully booked (I suggest to book in advance by email). Ykira is a welcoming host and great cook and we really enjoyed the food and her company. The casa is located in the center of Baracoa, really close to the main attractions....

There was air con and a fan in the room, one towel per person was provided. There was a big fridge where you could store your own food/drinks or use some water they...

Ykira is the best casa particular we stayed in in our trips to Cuba. We could enjoy a perfectly airy room on the first floor (there were windows on three hands, a great value I think if you travel in summer), spacious and equipped with comfortable beds. We could also enjoy two terraces only for us (we never met anyone...

Beautiful Casa right in the center of Baracoa with a wonderful view from the terrace. Ykira was a very friendly and welcoming host with sufficient English knowledge to communicate with us properly, since our Spanish skills are rather limited. The chef of the house was a real sweetheart and prepared two delicious Baracoan style dinner for us. When we were...

I booked this Casa but had to cancel my room and didn't actually stay there in the end as I couldn't travel down to Baracoa, but Ykiram was helpful and prompt to reply in my email correspondence with her (whereas lots of Casa's aren't) so I thought I would write a brief review to say so. Also the price per...
