Only a few people could talk and understans english, the majority only talked Italian which was very annoying. When we asked how to reach Ascea they told us to take a taxi with the price of 60 euro. When we took the taxi he said the price was 40 euro and when walking back to the hotel we saw a bus which went to Ascea only for 2 euro per person, so people of the hotel also did not provide good information. Service was also not optimal, we were with four persons but could not sit with each other on the beach because they said one room reserves two places on beach, while we had a family room with 4 persons. For one plate with one steamed bell pepper 8 euro. Very expensive. They also did not want to give us our receipt.

We stayed at the end of September, beginning of October 2016. We originally booked two days, and after one night booked two more. The price was extremely reasonable for the quality of room and service we received. We had a corner room, with a large balcony, overlooking the sea. The room was large, bright, clean, recently modernized and refurnished, with a pretty bathroom. The hotel was quiet and relaxed with direct access to a clean sandy beach with good swimming in clean water. The staff, including the cook, were excellent, very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was included in the price and it was a good, ample meal, to which they willingly added another dish to suit my wife's dietary needs. We would happily return to Il Faro

We've spent one full day in this hotel. We arrived in the afternoon and parked my SUV very easily. We did quickly my check in, and then enjoyed a traditional Italian dinner. Then we walked through this small village. We loved it! The room was fair, sufficiently clean and quite. The day after we spent all the morning relaxing on the beach, and swimming on the cleanest sea that we've ever seen in our lives. It was slightly windy, so the sea looked a bit irritated ;-) Breakfast was more than enough considering the standard in Italy, with many sweet cookies (some of them homemade, I guess...). Lunch was again very good, even though we could not eat everything... too many dishes for us... We paid the precise amount that we negotiated on the Internet with the manager. Then we left Acciaroli for visiting Sapri, but that's another story....

We stayed at the Il Faro hotel for three weeks in September 2006 and enjoyed ourselves very much. We had a corner room on the second floor overlooking the wide sandy beach directly in front of the hotel. Room was large with a nice balcony. Bathroom was good without any problems. Hotel's restaurant was quite nice and the food was excellent, also the buffet breakfast. Owners were very nice and welcomed us warmly, including our little dog. The hotel's major plus is its private beach. We generally ate in a restaurant in town called the Boccaccia which had great food.
