just returned from a top class 3 course Sunday lunch, from the moment we walked in to a warm friendly greeting the experience got better and better with every course served. Having not been there for a number of years we went with an open mind having read some of the recent reviews but I'm glad to say it is...

Visited this evening as a party of 10 for a much loved colleagues retirement party. All but one of the party had preordered all three courses. Staff were very nice but seemed inexperienced and kept telling us how busy they were and the food was woefully slow in appearing and that's when it got seriously bad.... goats cheese for the...

A delightfully quirky little hotel/restaurant, oozing with atmosphere, plumb in the centre of Beccles. We were anticipating an indulgent night away from home with some gourmet dining. Our room (the family room) was a large split level affair with a library ladder leading up to the mezzanine. Real character. However on entering we were immediately struck by a strong smell...

Stayed in the Jeremiah. Loved it! Young woman who showed us our room was very nervous, and unsure of her responsibility. She did a good job and brought some fresh milk up for a cuppa. Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant smell around the bathroom, sewage. This increased as the day wore on, but by morning had disappeared. Did not mention...

We have just returned from 2 nights at the Swan. Unfortunately, this little hotel did not meet our expectations. We have stayed in quite a few boutique hotels but thought we would try something new. Firstly, I would like to point out that the food here is lovely. The staff are very friendly although service is pretty slow! Allow over...

My wife and I went here for a meal and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is small but perfect for a meal with a partner. Decent service, great food and reasonable value for money. Overall I would say this is the ideal place to go if you want more than just 'another night out for dinner'

I stayed in Margot's Room which is a delightful double with a lovely balcony overlooking a courtyard and within sight of the Parish Church bell tower. Comfy bed, good shower, Pecksniffs toiletries, good quality tea and coffee, tv and a library in the room. My evening meal was excellent, local produce prepared and presented well. The wine list is extensive,...

As previously expressed by many visitors, this inn has been tastefully and uniquely designed to give the wow factor. I know style matters ,but previous reviewers have been spot on also regarding the management style. One feels like an inconvenience rather than a guest. The lack of milk issue has been well aired too. We wanted an afternoon cuppa. We...

'A very last minute booking and couldn't have been more thrilled with our choice. Our room was delightful and couldn't have wished for better, there's not a single suggestion I could make to improve it! On Sunday night we stayed and ate in the restaurant and it was amazing! The calm and friendly atmosphere in a lovely relaxing setting, The...

We were part of a large party with a group of friends and had a wonderful evening at the Swan House. It has been a long time since we last visited and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, staff wonderful and the atmosphere was very relaxed . Many thanks.
