We got a room (304, specifically) which was quite shabby and the walls so thin that we could hear every word from the neighbour's TV and thus couldn't sleep. We contacted the reception and got another room (at 11:30PM!), so that was very friendly. But we found out later that the other room was a higher price class, so YES...

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 5 nights in Feb 2017. Comfortable and clean rooms (we had a family room). Delicious breakfast (the children loved the Norwegian waffles and I loved the eggs, roll mops, cold meats, cheeses). Wonderful communal areas - 2 pool tables in one large zone, roaring open fire and comfy sofas in a separate zone....

We stayed in Fossheim Hotel for 6 nights during a ski holiday. Whilst the hotel clearly has some potential, and is in a fairly decent location to access both the alpine and cross country ski tracks, the potential has not quite been met yet. The greeting on our first day was friendly enough, and the room was clean and comfortable...

Stayed here for four nights Jan 2017, whilst visiting relatives nearby. On arrival, we were told that there was no food available for our first few evenings, although breakfast was of course available. We were asked if we wanted to pay 'now, or when you leave?' - which struck us as odd. Dinner would be available for the last two...

The cabins have the worst standard I have ever experienced except for camping cabins. Beautiful view of the parking lot of the supermarket! Not worth your money. Norway has a lot better to offer and I am ashamed that this place takes money of tourist!

we stayed in a traditional log cabin, across the main road from the hotel, where we enjoyed saunas (separate for men & women). Very friendly helpful owner and receptionists. No wifi in the cabins, but wifi at the hotel reception, with deep comfortable armchairs, a good choice of paperback books and board games, and a lovely view of snowy fields...

We were really pleasantly surprised by this hotel! We were in the area for a short visit to get to know Hemsedal. The receptionist (may also be the owner) greeted us in a very friendly and warm way. Upon arrival, we had a three course dinner. The waiter was also very friendly, and we had interesting discussions on all kinds...

Stayed at the hotel from thursday-sunday. We all felt very welcome from the begining. Very good service and both bar and dinner facilities were kept open even though it was not within opening hours, just to serve us. There is a convenience store next to the Hotel. It's a 5 minutes drive to Hemsedal ski resort. Taxi fares are about...

This hotel is located a few miles South of Hemsedal, and feels a bit isolated. A car is a must here. The rooms with a beautiful view over the valley unfortunately also faces the road with a lot of heavy traffic. If silence is an issue for you, ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. You...

Off season and excellent, personal service. We were one of only 2 maybe 3 rooms and yet all was as if they were on a normal capacity (in a good way). Room was really nice, shower was awesome. Breakfast was just as big as if the hotel were full. I will make it a point to stay in this hotel...
