This hotel is amazing. It is beautiful, serene, and every corner is special. The rooms are great and very comfortable, shower is wide and equipped with everything you may need. The public areas are nice and clean, heated indoor pool is amazing, and the dining room elegant. The food was great in the morning and in the evening. We enjoyed every second and this is most probably one of the top hotels we visited. We loved the stuff. They are kind and helpful and create a good atmosphete. The hotel does not have AC. Since the weather in Villa de Leyva is so balanced throughout the year, there is almost no need for it but on hot days, it can feel a little hot in the rooms and in the dining room. One small advice: do not do laundry at the hotel. They charge per item and you end up paying for the laundry more than you paid for the entire stay! We should have been more careful about it, but it is really the only down side we experienced. We loved this place!…
Very nicely appointed & elegant hotel. Clean. Freshly decorated. Very well furnished. Large bedrooms and very nice bathrooms. Indoor swimming pool. Only 5 years old and feel like new. Lacks a bit of atmosphere but that wasn't helped by arriving late, leaving at dawn and being the only guest in the hotel that night! The one member of staff on duty was very helpful and even prepared coffee for me at 5 in the morning! The location is not central but it is an easy walk into the main square (10 minutes at most) and it is situated in a quiet area of town. I would definitely go back.
Staff was very accommodating. We stayed with grandma and they were extra attentive towards her, which is always well appreciated. Food was good. I think the hotel is still quite new, so it is all pristine. The shower was gooooooood!!!!!!!
With my husband, 2 kids and mom we rented a family room with hot tub and chimney. The room is beautifully decorated and very quiet. The staff is attentive to your needs, and the owner especially was very welcoming. Breakfast was very tasty (juice, hot drinks, eggs, fruits, bread, butter and jam). We cannot wait to go back!
This is a lovely hotel just a few blocks away from downtown and the main square. The rooms are beautiful and the service is attentive, friendly, helpful and professional. We had a wonderful one night stay in January. It has all of the modern conveniences, but is built in the traditional colonial style of the town. The hotel is an easy walking distance from the main sights in this charming town. Breakfast is included and lovely. There is a very nice patio and pool area. Highly recommended!
This is an impressive hotel a few blocks from the main square. It's an old fashioned place with high quality details. The service is amazing. It has a nice spa. Breakfast included. It's a hidden treasure. You deserve it.
This is a small hotel, nevertheless it's perfectly organized and very well set up building. The rooms are very comfortable and pleasant to be in. The food is yummy and the crowd is kind and very helpful with anything you need. The location is perfect because it's very close to the town's main square, but far enough to have a very quiet and peaceful environment. I highly recommend it.
We really liked this hotel boutique. It's small, just 13 rooms but that's what we liked about it. The room was great; it's not overly big but just right for my wife and me staying for just one night. Hotel looks good, new and well decorated. Room is well-kept and clean. Bed is comfortable for sleeping. The bathroom, shower are right on. Service is friendly and attentive. Whenever we come back to Villa de Leyva, this is where we will stay.
I, my good Colombian friend and his lovely family just stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Casa Real Villa de Leyva in the beautiful Colombian town of Villa de Leyva. In Europe, this would be a 4 and maybe even a 5 star hotel in that although it is small, it exhibits luxury across all areas of operation as well as having an excellent design quality and attention to detail. Needless to say, all the staff from the maids to the owners (who were always around) were genuinely committed to optimizing our experience. The rooms are outstanding with elegant decoration, extraordinarily comfortable beds, and spacious bathrooms. Best of all, the restaurant was so good that, in spite of the fact that Villa de Layva has many fine restaurants, along with breakfast (get the strawberry pancakes!) we chose to eat many of our dinners there. Together with the fact that the prices were lower than you would ever expect from this caliber hotel, when I return to Villa de Leyva I will be staying at the Hotel Casa Real Villa de Leyva. By the way, the hotel is not in the center of town, but a pleasant 0.5 km (5-10 minute) walk from the Plaza Major. Thus, we had convenient access to the town, in a quieter location.…
